does TS's 20% off code work toward workshop items? Yes. I just backed one for $118 and some change Hooke a brother up for a 20% code. My personal code is only 15%.

oof. the olive version is still sitting at 0% funded. too bad because I think it looks good. I wouldn't mind owning both but the field tan is the clear winner

On the tan waxed jacket. The second to last picture on the model the jacket looks short on him. I know truckers aren't suppose to be long jackets by any means but this just looks a bit short. I wonder if it sewed up short in these particular pics? the olive version appears longer in the waist judging from the model fit pics.

Different fabric but maybe it also has to do with the waxing process? Heat maybe?

regarding their new long haul trucker, I think this is where TS really shines as a company. they've taken a successful product and changed it up a little bit by adding new fabrics and corduroy collar/cuffs. the design is the same but these slight updates make the jackets look good. they definitely put some thought behind it.

Ask yourself, wouldn't it be even better with six more randomly placed pockets and some hard core hand wringing?

Corduroy is a sweet. Also a big fan of moleskin or corduroy lined hand warmer pockets.

I think they are just designed by TS to be that short judging by the fit guide. The lengths are pretty damn short even for a trucker I think.

I think TS's is a little longer in the waist though

Gustin, however, seems to throw sh*t at the wall to see what sticks. I can't believe any of G's recent trucker campaigns even funded -- melton wool? The Super Bright? um, no.

I hate to keep ragging on Styleforum, but those bozos eat up Gustin shit with a spoon and call it chocolate. These products fund because there are lots of clueless people out there with bad taste, apparently.

Gustin loses some respect points for just cranking out more generic shit in my book. When they started, they offered up something a little different, and US-made. Now, it's just "me too" stuff others already make and has very little personality. Fine for jeans - give me unique denims now and then - but the other stuff is just lazy to me. I like Gustin, and I'll continue to buy jeans from them, but this other stuff is really just blah.

I predict the waxed trucker will surpass 500% funding before the 15 day deadline is up. amirite?

i like that field tan one a lot but every time I tried on a long haul in store it just never fit right. Again, I'm not used to the very short length so that may be part of it and the waist as well seemed to small for me. Just one of their pieces that don't fit my stocky body. gaseousclay do the truckers usually get easier to button once they been worn in a bit and the fabric relaxes?

The G trucker is made with 13.5oz waxed canvas so it feels bullet proof, whereas my Filson is probably around 12 and my Rogue Territory is 10. My cheap Levi's waxed canvas trucker feels more like plain jane canvas and isn't waxed at all. my only true denim jacket is my PBJ deep indigo type 2 and I'm confident that will stretch out over time, but that won't get worn until Spring. YMMV. I don't exactly wear my waxed canvas jackes with much frequency and that's because the weather here is a bit schizophrenic. I'm pretty sure there are people out there who have experienced stretch with waxed canvas jackets

Gustin doesn't innovate. They are a business and that's it. They copy stuff and churn it out cheaper. They are clones but American made.
