Gustin doesn't innovate. They are a business and that's it. They copy stuff and churn it out cheaper. They are clones but American made. i'm fine with this model, just wish they'd expand their copy sources and swap them out when using different fabrics.

I agree I do love some of my Gustin items to death! I don't think the term radical value quite applies anymore for most items.

Just got this in the email.
Hi (purchaser) ,
We want to give you some pointers on how to best care for this garment. We don’t mean to clog your inbox, but this is important! This shirt is highly saturated with indigo dye. Should you choose to wash or soak your shirt, please do so separate from all other garments! Since the shirt will “bleed like a stuck pig,” in the words of our Southern-bred production manager, here are some things you can do to alleviate dye run in the shirt: • Soak overnight in a bucket of lukewarm water. • Transfer to another bucket of clean water, and let soak for another 8-12 hours. Now, you’re ready to wash the shirt in the washing machine. Wash the shirt by itself in a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. NOTE: if you wash this shirt before rinsing excess dye out of it, the simultaneous run of the dye and friction during the wash cycle may cause the fabric to fade. You’ll be left with a splotchy, less-than-perfect shirt. If you have any questions, just send us a reply to this email, find us on live-chat or give us a call! Always happy to help. All the best, Team @ TS

northcoast: Yeah, I got that email as well. Basically treat it like raw denim. I guess they may have gotten a few guys who turned their entire wash Smurf blue.

Just an FYI, Orn Hansen is having a 20-25% off sale storewide. Not sure if it's online too or just in store, but they've got tons of TS gear. Plus the owner Rob is a cool dude.
Ornhansen.com if the sale is in store only I'd be happy to proxy for some folks. They have a ton of oxfords and a lot in the 42-46 range. Plus basic tees in all sizes and indigo tees too.

Well I emailed TS about canceling my whaler navy sweater. They emailed me and said sure. Then they sent out an email saying we are going to refund 40% of the purchase and the sweater should be there sometime before the end of February apparently they are having huge issues with the factory in Mass.
For $40 bucks I'll keep the order open worth it.

Anyone with a light TS shirt size 42, could you measure and post up the PxP for me.? I'm wondering how they sew up. I usually get a 44 in the thicker WorkShirt style. But hoping I can get a more tailored fit on one of there dress shirts.

DigDug I have the baja chambray and the 9 oz chambray, the baja is actually sewn up the same or a little smaller, can't tell if it was the shrink.

Got notice today the BW should be in my hands by 2/29. Just received the Rover waxed canvas jacket...amazeballs...will throw up some picks this weekend. Super happy about the size, everything else, etc. Bummed nobody else will enjoy the indigo task jacket. Again, for $55...awesome stuff. Really bummed I didn't get in on the trucker now.

Those selvedge Jacks are nice looking. I feel like I have way too many indigo-colored shirts, maybe the stripe option will be in my future.

I received the Rover jacket today and I'm unsure about sizing. I like the way the 38 fits me in the waist area, but it pulls and is tight when I raise my arms. The 40 is the exact opposite, fits good in the chest area, but is a bit loose in the waist.
Does anyone know how this fabric will react? Will it stretch/loosen over time or pretty much stay the same?
Also, I imagine a freshly waxed jacket will not drape the same as one that is broken it. If it seems a bit square and billowy now, I imagine it will be less so once I wear it in. Is this correct?

Pics of the task jacket when it comes in! I really wanted in on that but just couldn't justify it. Taylor Stitch makes my my life hard like that often.

I emailed TS and they said they decided not to ship my order until I decide if I want to take the 50% discount on them. So I shot an email back saying how can I make that decision until I actually have it in hand first. Waiting on a reply.

Personally, I think it is a more flattering Barbour fit. After comping for quite a while, Barbours (pretty much an equivalent here) are more billowy in the waste/gut area and the sleeves are on the short side. The TS-LG on me-6'-180 is perfecto. Even the zipper is impressive, fing stout. Looked over it thoroughly today and can't find one thing wonky. For $180 after 20%, very nice. It is far more olive than pics indicated which I preferred the browner/pic like color.
