well the Flint Kudu Suede Blake Wingtip is up. What do you guys think? Not into them, but I'm not into suede shoes in general. I think they look a bit narrow up into the toe-box, too. Kinda dig the espresso Birdseye jacket and pants, though. I seem to take exception to anything navy blue.

Can any of you give me a sense of how their shirts fit? I looked at their sizing chart but i'm afraid to pull the trigger. For reference, i'm 5'11, 180 lbs and have a 40-41" chest. If any of you have a similar build as me could you tell me which size works best for you?

The Yosemite was a bit more trim in the sleeve width and stomach than I thought. Had to send the 40 back for a 42.

Man I love the flint boots. Funny I wanted a pair of grey suede wing tips before I went on the spending cut. Both travel suits look awesome. Really knocked it out of the park on all these workshop items.

If any of you have a similar build as me could you tell me which size works best for you? If you're familiar with Gustin button-downs as a yardstick, the TS shirts are, generally speaking, a little more generous in the shoulder width and arm openings and quite a bit trimmer through the midsection. I have four TS shirts, and the fit varies a bit between them - so check the fit guide every time. I have a Glacier Chambray (collab with Fair Ends), a Railroad Stripe Utility Shirt, a brushed flannel Hyde Shirt, and an Everyday Chambray that just arrived yesterday. All of them have different fit guide specs. The RR Stripe and the Hyde came in right around the fit guide or slightly smaller and then shrank a fair bit in sleeve and body length after a cold wash and hang dry. Chest and other circumferential measurements were largely unchanged. The Glacier came in very close to the fit guide, except for body length which was significantly longer than expected (a plus for me because I'm tall), and it has not shrunk much at all after washing. I haven't measured or washed the Everyday yet, but I ordered it based on the working assumption that I should err on the side of "sizing up" in the straight TS shirts (i.e., not collaborations), and it fits brilliantly out of the box with a little bit of leeway for post-wash shrink. I am hesitant to give you much more in the way of generalized fit advice without knowing a bit more about your measurements, how you like your shirts to fit, and which TS shirt(s) you're interested in. For example, I have long arms so I'm more sensitive to sleeve length than most guys. I'll usually accept a little looser fit in my chest area so I can get sleeves that are the right length for me and, depending on the shirt, enough body length to stay tucked in. The advice I'd give myself if I was looking at a TS dress shirt or oxford would be very different than the advice I'd give someone with a less lanky build who was looking at one of their flannels or heavy twill shirts.

Thanks Ickes. That saves me $150. As an extra data point... mine felt itchy in the arms when worn with a t-shirt. Over a long sleeve shirt, no problem. My neck seems happy no matter what. No itchier than lambswool (probably less itchy I think).

The nice thing here is that unless its a project funded item, you get it in a couple days, and can return it if you don't like the fit. Also, you can call the store, and get advice if you think you might be in between sizes.

*TAYLOR STITCH UTILITY SHIRT KLAXON* Indigo Jacquard DotIndigo Ticking StripeEDIT: Interestingly, the fit guide for these is almost identical to the Glacier shirts. If they do sew up like my Glacier, that would make them a little longer and trimmer through the torso than my RR Stripe Utility Shirt.

I'm in on one of these. Which One??? I'm leaning towards the ticking stripe, which has a sweet little wabash sorta thing going on. It's also the heavier of the two: 10oz compared to 7oz on the jacquard dot. Both are awfully nice-looking fabrics, though. Gun to head, I think I'd prefer the jacquard dot in a design like their Everyday Chambray; it's almost too pretty for the Utility Shirt. The ticking stripe, on the other hand, just screams workwear.

For $60 less than my G Hickory Stripe shirt and the look much better fit.... damn. If I have to choose, I take the one with the dot.

I'm thinking the Ticking Stripe. The Jacquard Dot is just a little to pretty but it may make a decent layering shirt.

Love the fabric, hate the pockets. "Luckily", the don't carry a 48, so I don't have to be talked into it.

For whatever reason, they don't really bother me in person. But I can totally understand how they would bother me if I was just looking at the photos. Because they bother me. Anyway, yeah. I'd prefer a more traditional pocket shape, but the acorn style ain't no thang really.

But TS does it right, vintage inspired but not over the top (like there RaiRoad shirt). So I'm getting one. There is some practical aspect to the Acorn pockets.

yeah, those pockets are the same ones on the Railroad stripe shirt right DigDug? If so, I do agree that in person they really ain't no thang...don't really notice too much actually. Damn...decisions fellas. I think I'm leaning toward the striped one as well.
