seth, I have hovered over the 'Add to Cart' at the UK site a bunch of times. But I cannot get the Rakuten prices out of my head. Nearly half off. @untucked, you're killing me man. Grab me a large IHSH-62 in black. If they have it, I will take pictures and be sure you want it. I'll gladly proxy you Bro's, if you are PayPal ready lol

I really want some 666 25oz. @untucked how do you like the fabric? Is it cardboard like the G 26oz?

So I finally used m SelfEdge store credit and discount and this is what I got; www.selfedge.com/jeans?product_id=1196I'm actually pretty excited about these. I never would normally purchase jeans this expensive but due to the circumstances I was able to snag this otherwise out of my league holy grail type pair. It was pretty cool to have this in my cart and after applying my store credit and discount seeing the total at 20 dollars. Now I cross my fingers and hope I sized right

man, you've got to love the good old fashioned non-crowdsourced way of doing business. My 20oz Loomstate Left Hand Twill Grey Weft Iron Hearts I ordered from SelfEdge have already been shipped within hours of ordering them.

Well done ickes - I think the 633 is a great cut. I'm interested to find out how these break in. I wish I had a Self Edge coupon too, since these aren't available on Rakuten or anywhere else . Maybe I'll take the plunge later this year, but I already have too many new pairs that need breaking in.

Maybe I'll take the plunge later this year, but I already have too many new pairs that need breaking in. Thanks mrlono. I'm pretty stoked about these but I don't want to get my hopes up too high because the SE fit guides are notorious for being a little less than accurate. I will be bummed if they don't work out fit wise but we shall see. I should have them tomorrow. I'm on a little Loomstate kick right now. I've been wearing my Gustin Loomies non stop basically since I received them about a month and a half ago and I just picked up the Black Loomstates off the Gustin stock page yesterday. Those have shipped too so I will potentially receive my G Black Looms and My IH 20oz Looms on Saturday. Loomstate is just really cool and fun denim imo. The texture on the G Loomies is killer and the whole experience is just fun and you can really customize your size with a Loomstate more than people realize by altering water temps, inserting items in the waistband to prevent waist shrinkage, only soaking certain parts if they are too big (i.e. waist of cuffs), etc... I had a pretty big SelfEdge store credit sitting for a little while (long story on how I got the credit) and Kiya (SE customer service rep) threw in a 20% off coupon on top of my credit as well for my troubles. I spent way too many hours than I care to admit scouring the SelfEdge website looking for something to spend my store credit on. They have a lot of cool shit but honestly...after looking at pretty much their whole inventory (shirts, jeans, everything) several times over...the only things on there that I would buy would be IH and ROY. I almost copped a pair of ROY Cone Loomstates with my credit but when I saw these limited edition Iron Hearts I was like damn...20 oz Grey Weft Loomstate denim...that sounds sick. So I'm crossing my fingers. Hopefully the fit will be right and I will have a Saturday full of soaking some kick ass Loomstate denim....Wow, I'm a denim dork!..lol.

Got a bit of a kick out of this: ... Yeah, Rakuten retailers often do that with shirts so you can see a model of known size and weight with different size shirts on. Helps get your desired fit right. How many times do people on forums see a guy in a shirt and ask What size is it? And, how tall are you? etc. The Japanese retailers anticipated all that and put it in the ad.

@untucked have you washed the 25oz yet? Any shrinkage? I did 2 initial hot soaks, but nothing since. Here was shrinkage with those soaks, but I don't measure so I can't say exactly how much.

so my initial thoughts on my 20 oz Loomstate grey weft left hand twill Iron Hearts; This is a beautiful pair of jeans made with impeccable craftsmanship. Are they worth 400 bucks? IMO, its hard to say. Crazy you say? Well..,they are limited edition, will never be made again, 20 oz, Loomstate, grey weft, left hand twill....so its not exactly a fabric that you come across everyday. On top of that, t hese things fit great and there isn't a flaw to be found, anywhere.
However, with all that being said, they honestly don't look as unique as they sound, not yet anyways. Right now you could probably mistake them for a pair of the Heavyweights, especially if you're a denim novice....or should I say a "normal" person. I think the uniqueness they have right now is in how they feel. For a denim this heavy they feel very smooth and for being a Loomstate they also look very smooth. I almost thought for a bit that they weren't actually Loomstate. They definitely don't look as cool as the Gustin Loomstates and they look like a normal pair of raws, but I do believe they will fade amazingly and it will be interesting to see how the grey weft affects the appearance over time. Thats when I think their uniqueness will shine through.
Overall I think these are going to be a fun ride. The cut and fit is great although in a perfect world I could take another 1/2" in the waist but SE says this fabric will stretch an inch in the waist post soak so I should be good. They crock like nobodys business so they should definitely be some high contrast faders. These will be fun. I don't think I'd pay 400 bucks for these but I'm glad I was able to pick these up. Its obvious that IH has their shit together when it comes to heaviy weight denim and if I were ever to purchase something 20oz plus again I wouldn't pick any other brand. The quality is undeniable.
I didn't take pics pre soak because my phone just couldn't capture any nuances in artificial lighting..I've already soaked them and it will be very interesting to see how difficult it will be to button them up tomorrow. Oh and btw, the grey weft is pretty cool.

Based on what I have read, they'll probably be really good faders.
Man, I really want a pair of IHs. Just don't think the majority of the cuts will work for me, specifically the hem.
I am thinking even the 666 would be like a pair of bell bottoms on me. The 555s are a possibility but, unfortunately, I cannot get them from Japan so the price is very, very high. With the Canadian dollar lagging badly, I'd be looking at around $450. Hard for me to justify.
