IHV-02-BLK Wabash Vest, @wils has the shirt which is cool as well. I love this thing, great under the MC jacket or just kicking around. Usually wear it with a long sleeves but I was too lazy to change shirts.... Took this to the tailor as I have a long torso so to get the length I had to size up and it was boxy as hell on me. I like it much better now.

So I have this SelfEdge credit to burn and I have it narrowed down to two pairs of Iron Hearts. One is in a 666 (devils cut) fit and the other is the 634S with the tapered leg mentioned above. Does anyone have any experience with the 666 fit? I don't like skinny jeans, but I can do slim/slim straights and straights. Any input that anybody can provide on the IH 666 cut would be greatly appreciated.

I'm considering the 666 (Devil's Fit) or the IHXB01 (Beatle Buster). I know I said I wouldn't be able to pay SE or IHUK prices but I can't seem to find anything in my size on Rakuten. Since I am turning into an IH fanboy, I may end up caving in. Here's how I'm justifying it to myself: I knew nothing about raw denim until a little over a year ago. It has since turned into a serious interest of mine. I started down the road with Gustin but have fallen out of love with the whole KS model for numerous reasons. I have easily bought over $600 worth of Gustin jeans but really only wear one or two pairs - most of them are wasting away since they no longer fit me. After buying a few IH shirts, I really want to move up to the next level of denim and IH is the logical choice for me (like the brand, like their "story"). Since I really only need three/four pairs of denim, why not buy a couple of IH instead of spending as much (or more) stockpiling pairs of various KS brands? That's probably a bit of a rambling mess, but it's what the devil on my shoulder told me to write.

I have a few friends in the Euro realm and they love the 666's. The pics they post look great. Don't think you can go wrong. Just pic the fit you like.

I'm thinking 555's soon.... Sucks they are a complete full priced item. Have you found them in japan at all? Are you near a Beams store?

@untucked, I also keep looking at the 555s. But the 34 has a 7.8 hem. I wouldn't want too much smaller than that and, being unsanforized, they'd probably check in around 7.5 after a soak.

Man I have been wearing my 102 work shirt man it is a warm ass shirt. Shoveling snow in 16* weather with my jacket on and I was sweating bullets. Blocks the wind well.
Lawless needs to get some 12oz flannel double brushed on the inside since on the outside. I wouldn't say it's a $350 shirt but it's worth around $160-200 all day.

If they make XXL. I thought the grumblings are that thrusting make large sizes. And, I think if they do, you would have to go through SE or IHUK. But, I will check, none the less

In Tokyo, going to the IH store in a few hours. Wish luck to my bank account!!!!! Oh! Wish I knew that sooner. Maybe I could have convinced you to get me a pair of IH-634S-19L in W31. There's none on Rakuten that I can find. They are down to $200 (all the 19 oz denim that are 23760 yen). Edit: I must be patient and happy with my 21/23. The 634S-19L will show up again...

Tapering can throw off other aspects of the cut. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. Also remember railcar charges about $60 for tapering. So now you are talking $420 total. IMO, it's better to find the right fit than to try to create the right fit.

The prices at SE and IHUK were always a bridge too far for me. Then I found Rakuten and it makes it even harder for me to pay those prices. If I can't get them from Japan, I will probably not give them a try. I basically feel the same way. It's really hard for me to pay SE/IHUK prices when you see what the full retail price is in Japanese stores. I will sometimes pay IH UK prices for IH UK specific models but only infrequently. Even the Japan retail prices are at the top of my comfort range.

seth, I have hovered over the 'Add to Cart' at the UK site a bunch of times. But I cannot get the Rakuten prices out of my head. Nearly half off. @untucked, you're killing me man. Grab me a large IHSH-62 in black.
