disheveleddid you go with your usual size large? The IHUK measurements seemed kinda long for that size. Just curious how the fit works for you and if it seems kinda blousey.

gaseousclay Sleeves seem long, but never gave the body a second thought. I measured both the front and back length and compared it to 2 other IH shirts and posted the numbers on the 196 thread. So you could measure your current shirt and compare to my numbers but IHs stated numbers are on point as per usual (I just tossed in the front placket length cause that's the important one for me)

Speaking of henleys. Have a few IH (bl, gr, wh), however, the button up area is actually sort of weird and puckers out unlike any henley I've ever seen. Where's a man to find a dope henley in indigo or white? My made in CA Epaulets get more wear then my IH for fancy henleys anyways.

Jdub6Ive been wanting to try IHs, so now I'll have to pay attention to the puckering. I really dig my 2 studiodartisans both from denimio. Maybe selfedge has em too. Stevensonoveralls is dope though it fits big and 9lives makes a sick indigo henely that I would score if not already happy.

They're weird. lol edit: Idk, looks worse than pic. The collar just flares out regardless of washes, etc. That's a XL too congruent with westerns. Actually tried to hot wash; it's not too small where the shoulders are pulling at collar.

I've been meaning to check out 3sixteen's and Lady White's henleys. 3sixteen has indigo, black and white and Lady White has navy, white, black and khaki fog. The only thing that gives me pause is sizing. Don't know if I should go TTS with 3sixteen or up 1 size since their site claims it'll shrink. Same with Lady White. One thing I've noticed is that sleeves seem to be a little on the short side when I looked at several brands. Don't know if this is intentional or not but I like for there to be some length in case there's shrinkage

I find sizing for knit pieces to be almost more tricky than non stretch stuff life button ups for me anyways. Then with a henley you want it almost too tight in the body and then yeah the arms can be shortish. I was going to maybe try some 3sixteen's. Most def picking up some of there white T's finally.

Beware that the T's shrink significantly after a wash and dry. Even if you cold wash and hang dry they shrink a good 1-2" in the length. They make a long fit now that might be an option for you of you're in the 6' and up range. They also shrink in the chest ..I'd say up to an inch or so.

I took some trains, a bus, and a 10 minute walk to get to the iron heart store In hachioji, Tokyo. I got a pair of the selvedge 21oz 634 jeans. Pictures and stuff when I get to a computer tomorrow or whatever.
It was a friendly shop (this is japan, of course it is a friendly shop) and a good trip. Still think it is spensive for jeans (just under 26,000 yen put the door) but I am sick of hearing you brahs talk about them like they are the best, Jerry! The best! Plus, I realized that I have enough money. I don't need to add to the pile of selvedge jeans...but I should probably spend some of this money.
I also popped into the hinoya shop in ueno on Monday. They had some wild oni denim stuffs that were just too out there but fascinating to see. The yarns were so thick and slubby hat it hurt my face to look at them.
Whatever, I am on a train going to get some chicken ramen. I also saw the world's shortest escalator today. Hooray!
. Update! Two hours before closing was not early enough for sneaky hidden underground chicken ramen. There was a line and not letting anyone else in line.

Maybe I'm not supposed to talk about this, but the siblings who rope calves frequently have that for around $184 and change. Looks like they only have a 3XL at the moment, but they do seem to stock frequently.

what-up, fartbutts? I went to the Tokyo Iron Heart store over the weekend. It was weird because I don't really have much of an attachment to the company. I think Oni is a cool company with their wild denims and Oni visual. I like Momotaro for some reason and have grown to like the silly stripes on the back pocket. So when I was going to Tokyo, I wanted a pair of jeans (because I have a problem) and I assumed I would go to Denimio and snag some straight legged momotaros. BUT I read a comment from Giles a month or two ago that made me take notice of this Iron Heart company. Something about that dude coming here to answer a question impressed me. It was still weird going there because I don't have the attachment and I didn't need jeans, but whatever. I had the time and money and like to go places. What is weird is...Iron Heart is not located in a convenient location for travelers. It took trains, a bus and some walking and I saw that it was like a small harley dealer. I think bikers make that a destination run and that really made me like the place more. It was a sunny day and there were chairs around a table outside next to the garage. My old biker gang would have definitely made this run if we lived in Japan (note: the gang is only two of us.) Either way, the shop had all the denims. At each rack, it had a new pair of the jeans hanging along with a worn pair so you can see and feel how the jeans will age. I was after the vintage 18oz in the 634 cut, but I felt the special low tension denim and thought it was a little boring. So I went with the 21oz. I unceremoniously tried them on and they fit good enough. I made a few more laps around the store and bought them. They called a cab for me because I didn't want to wait for the bus and then the shopkeep talked with me outside at the little biker gang seating area. Now I need to wear these ridiculous heavy jeans with a double cuff for a while and then find some brave soul to hem them up for me. Then I went to Taco bell in tokyo and found the shortest escalator in the world at More's Department Store in Kawasaki. Seriously, it is the world record. LOOK AT IT! You have to walk up one set of steps to ride a five step escalator! WORTH THE TRIP! oh, and I found these at some fancy grocery store connected to a train station about an hour out of Tokyo. Don't know why they carried this in their candy section, but whatever.

I don't recall how much it shrunk, but I have a 3sixteen henley, it did shrink up a bit. I went with an XL, which is what I have in the type3 if that advise is worth anything

Tax is 6% so for a $200 item that's $12 off. Shipping tends to be $25 to $35 depending on weight

Sizing up seems the norm with 3sixteen stuff, so i'm curious if this holds true with their knits.

iamnotRex great post! Love your humor thrown in--biker gang of two! Glad you went with their flag ship denim. That 21oz fabric is japanese baf assery at its finest. Feel you on the double cuff pain my 666S-21 hem is wide enough BEFORE I throw the double cuff on it, WITH it its at the extreme end of my wearable spectrum. Got em hemmed once but not short enough and am now at an inbetween length. IH store will be visited by me one day--hopefully in the not so distant future. I would have rode that electric stairway to heaven at least twice
