Thanks for the response davelewis ! Not a rider, but thanks for reminding me my line up has a glaring leather jacket hole in it! It sounds to me like you need to take a ride up to Greenwood Ave., and check out Thurston Bros Rough Wear. I have no doubt they would be able to help you fill that jacket hole! Sorry if that sounded kind of nasty, lol www.thurston-bros.com/collections/aero-leather-clothing-of-scotlandMay call them to find the scoop, but here's the quote from their website: "*We do not have a brick and mortar location, but we can arrange for local custom jacket fittings. If you are local to Seattle or are planning to visit Seattle, contact us in advance to make an appointment!" I live very close to Greenwood and would love to try a few out in person. Thinking Horse Hide's the way to go based on selfedge's limited line up and from what I've seen on IHUK. Don't like the idea of short lengths, cafe racers, or one stars but think in person I could narrow the field quickly. Great tip, Dave. Thanks man

I'm surprised they don't have a brick and mortar. I do believe that they would be the place to use their knowledge in jackets, and sizing, to get you hooked up with a perfect fitting jacket of you choice. When you spend that kind of money, it is imperative to get a spot on fit, and they have the ability to measure you up, and get one made. I personally prefer front quarter horsehide, because of durability, and the way it patinas as it ages. Its certainly not the hide for a poser jacket, as they tend to be stiff, and rigid, not unlike a 25oz pair of raw denim, but after a few years of wear and break in, you end up with a perfect fitting piece of armor.

^^^This is great advice. Couple years of wear to break in, is a bit intimidating. But def appreciate the straightforwardness.

With ickes - the brick/black is nice... Did you get one? The 6oz flannel fabric is ridiculously soft. I was impressed.

The IHSH-196-Indigo is off the rails for me. Love how it pops and would pair so well with denim. Really curious to see how this and like indigo flannels age. I have yet to see a well worn flannel with indigo.

Bike is pretty rad too. For it not for optional turn signals via MVs in Lexington KY I would so have a bike. Some hard tail concoction.

The new blue is stunning.
The pink washes out more than I thought it would.

ickes , you go with a Lg or a XL in the IHJ-61? Was looking hard before the 20 dropped. Curious how a Lg compares to the IHM-20. Thanks. edit: hmm, saw you rx a XL. Idk...Such a great little jacket.

Yeah I went XL with the 61. I actually ordered a Large the first time based on the fact that Giles sized down to a Large on the 61 and we are almost always the same size in tops, but there was no way the Large was working for me. I had no range of of motion, as soon as I tried to lift my arms it was just way too tight and constructing. Sent it back and got the XL.

damn disheveled keep loading up. I really like that one too, like the colorway more than the inverse/workshirt. Just keep telling myself no more westerns.

Just keep telling myself no more westerns. I've been at that same point for about 2 years, sold off about 10 or so, and I still feel like I have too many IH western shirts. They fit me so damn well though! I'm just tired of feeling like I'm, wearing the same outfit in different colors... I can def relate. Either 1)henley, flannel 2)flannel, cpo 3)henley, cpo Changing the pants and boots and over jacket helps, but certainly been my 'uniform' of late. Been trying to add more pure solid colors in the mix to avoid the loud lumberjack look to often/dont want to burn out on the plaid look.
