Once my 90 day no spending is over iron heart and Sammy denim is a must. Black Armor is my next IH purchase... To go with my black shell boots I will order in the near future. I made a mistake with my XHS's and didnt send them for tapering, simply because they were so comfortable and wearable immediately. I will be sure to treat my next expensive denim investment right

Vodka and rawz don't mix... Apparently, it eats the dye

Those are size 36? The leg opening really didn't look that big on you when you first got them. The 555's are always an option.

Oh and the 666-xhs are only $60 more than Gustin 26oz.

Laughably large, imho. I pin rolled them, problem partially solved. I have a slight ballooning effect between theknee and cuff, but as the fabric loosens and creases settle in, they're relaxing and taking a more slim silhouette. I'll get some full-body pics one day, lol

Guys, I'm looking to buy a pair of 634S and am curious how much waist stretch people have seen. Looks like the measurements for the 36 waist fit me the best, but I would need them to stretch to 37-37.5" for them to be really comfortable. The 38 waist looks like it would be way too baggy. I'm able to get enough stretch out of my other brands but thought I'd check on these specifically before dropping coin.
Thanks! Daniel

Judging my all my current raw denim that I own 20+ pairs but no iron heart 1-1.5" stretch is very do able. Just remember the 634 rise is higher than a lot of modern low rise jeans. Measure accordingly.

I really, really want to try a pair of IH denim (especially since I love their shirts) but the leg opening measurements keep putting me off.
The 666XHS is described as slim but the 34 has a 8.8" opening. That's pretty big for my skinny legs.

The leg opening is big, especially if you normally wear slim jeans. These are ONLY slim in the thighs. I initially intended to send then m to LD for the tapering service, but honestly just couldn't wait to wear them, so I just pin-rolled the cuff a little bit and have gone on about my business as usual. In hindsight, I should have gotten them tapered, but oh well! I still love them. Random pics I took about an hour ago before coming in to work, wearing my IH-666XHS and my Hickory Stripe Western

Been absent due to some family issues over the holiday season and now...I'm renovating my house! Ideal activity for giving denim character! @untucked, dig your pics. Be autumn here in another month - time for IH & Indigofera heavy workshirts and heavy G denims. Can't wait! IH workshirts are great qual & worth the bucks, imo.

Iron Heart / Self Edge have a collaboration that takes the 634S and tapers the leg from the knee down. I tried on a pair last weekend and loved them but haven't bought them yet. Still debating it from a budgetary standpoint. Their size chart shows an 8.0 opening for 34W: www.selfedge.com/jeans?product_id=1278

I've been eyeballing those bad boys for months. i have SelfEdge credit to burn and I've got it narrowed down to those and two other pairs.

The 663S look awesome.. $360 is a crap ton but they do look awesome. To bad you can't find them on rakuten.
Ickes have you thought about getting a 666 or 634 and havin railcar taper?

The prices at SE and IHUK were always a bridge too far for me. Then I found Rakuten and it makes it even harder for me to pay those prices.
If I can't get them from Japan, I will probably not give them a try.
