I've been resisting the CP sneaker trend. The ROSEN model is cool. I'm drawn to the lighter colors but know it would just drive me crazy or be another chore to try to keep them clean. Then again, for $50........

If you are typically in between sizes like me (8.5D/9D) definitely go down half a size or true to size on the 1300s, they are one of NBs roomier lasts. I own US997's, US998's, UK577's, US1300's, and 1700's, all in a US9. The 1300s are the only ones in retrospect I wished I had picked on an 8.5. Hope this helps!

I wear a 10 in the 574 so a 9.5 should work in 1300

ePaulet is doing white sneakers. 4 month wait, like Gustin, and priced similarly with Gustin. Sizing is TTS.

It seems, I've been purchasing things in 3's, lately. Here are my latest sneaker additions..... Shoe Like Pottery / Vulcanized Olive Unfortunately, I could not find a retailer in the western world for these. What's more, almost all of the Japanese shops fail to carry my size. So, I emailed Good Weaver, and they had them in 29cm(half size down from my normal). The fit is quite good. Materials and construction are outstanding. New Balance M577ETO Tender Pack Thanks to the devaluation of the pound, these finally dropped into the price range I was looking for. Made in England. Purchased from the Hanon shop. Great colorway, inspired by the 10 pound note. First time with the 577 design, and I have to say, I love it. Definitely a lower profile than my 574, 575, 996, and 1400. Width is good, as well. Not quite as wide as the 1400, but better than the other 3. Vans Vault "Checkered Past" 50th anniversary Slip On LX (Patriot Blue) I saw these, and just had to have them. Fit and design are typical Vans. Woven leather uppers are a nice touch. Colorway makes for a great summer slip on. They pair up nicely with my PBJ 1133, and a plain white vee.

Those vans are sweet. How does the like pottery fit?
Edit: I mean, compared to others -- how did you decide which was your size?

Those vans are sweet. How does the like pottery fit? Edit: I mean, compared to others -- how did you decide which was your size? Everything I read about SLP said size down a 1/2, as you would with CTs. The largest size I could find in this particular model was 29cm, which converts to US11. I'm 11.5 Brannock. So, I really had only one choice. The fit is quite good, with a little more width than any CT I've ever worn. They have a little more cushioning than CTs, but not by much. For the sake of trying, I took some cushioned insoles from an old pair of Flyer's I've got gathering dust, and threw them in. To my surprise, I was able to get my feet in them. A little snug, but not unbearably so. I'll pick up a pair of thinner insoles, and they ought to be fine.

So just picked these up at 40% off. Greats royales. My question is...are they too "young" to sport at 50 years old? I was ready to keep them even with the chance of looking like an older dude trying to be hip. The I got an email about these rancourt classic natural These look slightly more mature, given the monotone sole, but are they worth three times the price? What say you s and s forum? Royales are $90. Rancourts $270

Both seem to have a classic look. There's not a lot going on (stripes, stars, bold colors, etc). Not sure if it's worth the extra coin but I'd say the natural leather ones will age nicely (but may go through an awkward period of not patinaed enough).!
