How's everyone holding up??? Anyone from Massachusetts/New England? Between Ice dams, shoveling (driveways, sidewalks, Roofs) heating, broken equipment (snow blower), no parking, someone taking your shoveled out spot, fridged below temp....
Thought some of us may need a place to vent (o yeah clear out your vents!)

Ugh. Got another foot this weekend; I'm out of places to put it. I had an ice dam in a window (forgot to remove the screen in the fall) and I think the vent from the bathroom fan is leaking moist air into the attic, creating condensation on the ceiling.
I have a huge "when it warms up" todo list so far.

I feel for you! I lived there for two winters 09/10, had some good snows and a big ice storm, but I can't imagine that much that quick. Good luck!

I don't think those who live in warmer climates or those who rent/live in condos truely understand the amount of energy, time, expense really is spent getting these things done. I feel your pain (in my lower back, arms, legs, Hell my whole body!)

Another 9" Saturday to Monday. Weird I feel like we got off easy. New Bedford got 20" more. 3-6" more snow today in Boston. Looks like tomorrow we are getting a few more inches too.
9* out right now. Wind chill well below zero. 0 is the low without wind chill. My jeep's heat sucks.
Lucky no ice dams or issues really. Knock on wood. Back hurts from shoveling.

Everyone else is getting our normal snowfalls this year. We barely have few inches on the ground. I haven't had to do much shoveling, snow blowing this year.
Be safe everyone getting the heavy snowfalls.

Had a business trip planned so left Boston last night. The destination .........let's just say is 90 degrees warmer. I have done my fair share of shoveling so this is nice.
Couple related updates to some ornery posts I saw. Lawless has actually provided me some updates on my early new site order 100s. Got this email today:
Cutting Table
Your order is now at the Cutting Table. The Cutting Table is the first of approximately 12 stations your jeans, jacket, or shirt will go through before they are complete.
On-line and In-house orders are held in the system until previous orders at the cutting table are moved to the sewing area. Once at the cutting table the denim, or leather needed for the job is pulled from inventory, matched with a pattern, or in the case of a custom product a new pattern is created. The denim or leather for the product is then cut from the pattern. Pockets, pocket liners, cuffs and collars are also cut. Your next notification will be sent to you from the sewing area.

But because I have it, my whole street has asked me to widen there driveway/sidewalks. Glad to do it but its Tiring.

I still have that 24oz wooly mammoth one coming they offered. Will be great in July.
In really don't mind all this snow. I do mind that Boston has the worst public transportation system that will shut down with an couple inches for we are still using trolly cars build in 1900. I also believe that the "space saver" is going to lead to a unfortunate outcome of parking rage eventually. Would be nice if they said if it is legal or not before something really bad happens.
And this city is the US bid for the Olympics......
Ok done ranting. My Heavyweights are getting lots of use and starting to finally break with baby fades. Thanks snow!

Tobesjones there have already been some destructive attacks here in chicago around the 'dibs' / 'space saver' nonsense. the other day a woman apparently parked in a spot that had been spoken for and returned to what appeared to be a bumper through her windshield and some explosive that had gone off inside her car (fireworks?) it's crazy...in most cases the people placing random crap in the street to save a spot didn't actually bother to shovel the spot out...and even then they try to keep saving it well past when the snow melts. it came up as a topic in the mayoral debate a couple of weeks ago and mayor emanuel said he's fine with it and that in his opinion spaces can be claimed with objects until the snow melts away. the only positive outcome of 'dibs' are very humorous 'dibs bingo' cards you find here and there...the object being to see how many silly objects claiming spots you come across. this year i've seen a huge number of strollers and high chairs.

The T was a joke last week. What a cushy job. That or a toll collector on the pike. I hate snow. How many billions dropped into that system and when the temps hit 30F everything grinds to a halt? MBTA boss should have been fired, not allowed to resign.

I should do that, but I'm at work. There's no helping the back of my house though. I'm not going to try and maneuver a ladder into those drifts.

Well, I already broke the hair dryer, so next up is a garden hose attached to the hot water pipe from the washing machine. I'm just kidding. I'm crazy, but not that crazy.
