Being the USA East coast is under snow and blizzard warnings we thought it would be nice to have a place to "talk about the weather"
Hope those in the NE are ok.
Minnesota has been mild lately and above freezing many days. 33F now. Not much snow in the Minneapolis area left. Many here are wanting a good snow storm and colder weather so they can use their toys. Snowmobiles etc.

Yeah, talking with mom all day in PA, and she's getting non-stop snow. Here, we're getting rain. Spent the weekend camping in SoCal mountains in the 30ºs. Warm by our normal standards of high teens. Hoping everyone back East is safe and warm during this.

It was a balmy -12C in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada this morning (9F for my American friends). Very little snow for this time of year. The big blizzard seems to have ducked to the south of us.

We're really feeling the brunt of winter here. It may struggle to get above 60F tomorrow.

it's been hovering around 30 degrees here in chicago. there are a couple of inches of snow on the ground with a little more coming...nothing severe. compared to last winter this winter has been like a tropical paradise.

So much for trusting Al Gore... /me reserves comment for the political nightmare it would turn this thread into. In turning this thread around and tying it all together here with a style forum, just did my initial shovel of the sidewalk (Boston) wearing the G Heavyweights with a Filson scout pant overlay. Fantastic combination. Warm and toasty all the way through. At least a good two feet on the ground out there so rotation will continue to be the Heavyweights and LD 18s cozy pants when I am inside. I want it to go on record that my Heavyweights might have picked up another 2 oz out there. Deflategate my ass!

Mass. And it's still going, though the wind has dropped off a lot (right now, anyway).

Dang, variable. For a second I thought you'd broken into my parents' basement! And here's their front porch (75-lb labrador for scale). You'll have to take my word for it that there's normally 2-3 steps down to ground level from there, at least a 2-ft drop.

It's dark now, so now there's no more snow. Right? Right.

Wrangler handled the snow like a champ. Traveled during the "Travel Ban" with a solid 6" on the road with no issues. Bad squals but I made it to work. Just shoveled in the Zimbs getting some snow fades.

The Old Man (79 Jeep) made it through 2 feet of snow no problem (almost felt like it handled better). Got 24-30" . Went through a couple of sheer pins and a belt on the snow blower. Will be back at it tomorrow.

I do maintaince at a few grocery stores. They all were cleaned out these past few days. I guess no one likes Whole Wheat (that's all that was left, that and a few hot dog buns) lol

That is one thing I never understood about my fellow New Englanders: the inexorable run on bread and milk ahead of a blizzard. Like, okay, so we might lose power for a day or two. Who the f!@k sits around eating bread when it's freezing cold? Get out the camp stove and make some damn soup.
