I would be shocked if they aren't the same denim, stinky. (See also: this post.) Ah--cool. Thanks Mattbert. I'm considering doing a pair of these with either copper or khaki thread. Probably copper. Would like feedback from anyone who has a pair (of any of these three brands), though. I'm thinking the blue is NOT indigo based. For what its worth, they state on their website that they "only" use indigo that is either natural, or organic. I haven't discussed this subject with Ciano, but if its a concern, I'd put in a question to him.

Pretty sure they don't use only natural indigo.

Wearing my Texas Denim 905s now. After a wash, the waist and inseam is bang-on. Not just stuffed in a bag: Wash instructions and reference swatch: Patch and back pocket: Tailored waistband, hidden rivets: No fit pics yet, I don't have a good mirror. But I can say that the legs are definitely a relaxed fit, which will make actually doing stuff (as opposed to my cubical job) easier. And the leg opening will not make getting my Ariats on an issue.

Awesome! More I look the more I wish the back pocket had more of a not levis design instead of the straight across line.

Those of you with pocket issues, what have you done about them? Have they grown on you? I sent Ciano an email about the pockets as I have a pair of jeans in the pipeline. The wide pockets look strange to me, but I'm undecided.

Here is the review for the 30oz bull denim jean i just got : Conclusion (in the introduction) : very nice pant, love it... Built lo last, nice details, good communication, i will order again from them for sure... So here the order i've made january the 7th: 905 Regular Fit, COPPER [Standard Sewing Thread], WAIST SIZE 32, INSEAM 34, HIDDEN RIVETS, VINTAGE PENNY (i'm 34 straight or slim in gustin but i prefer straight) I've got the invoice the 9th and paid the same day. The jeans came at my post office thursday (march the 12th) : so 9 weeks between the first mail and the first wear... We've made 2 changes with ciano after the order. They told me to choose the zip instead of the button fly. I think their experience sounds good so i just keep the penny button for the top and then the zip. I think, they were right as it is so diificult to close the button, if i have to do it 5 times, it takes me a hour to close my pants !!! And i ask for red thread for the cuff as it is a nice detail i like on my gustin but i can't showw them because i made several cuffs. With this ciano pant, i can finnally show my red thread cuff !!!! cool...... opening the package : first fic pics : front... It is a little bit tight like my gustin the first wear but i guess it will stretch to the perfect size. I hope the first soak or wash won't shrink them too much because it will be hard to wear them. For my next orders, i will (maybe) order a 33 (label size) instead of 32. But i have to wait a little and check how this pant evolve... (sorry for the bad fit pictures but i used the selfie camera from my phone) the pockets seems a the right size and the right place. But when i try to put my hands in, it is really tight, i guess it comes from the pocket form and the reduce opening size due to the rivets. It is not a problem for me as i do not use a lot my back pockets... The red thread cuff that i love the penny button (reinforced, it has too !!!) and the zip fly the coin pocket and the handhammered rivets : you can feel the nice and strong quality of these rivets the flat beast the lovely cuff the back pockets : as i said, on the picture and in real life, these pockets looks right (place and size) but when i put my hands in, it felt a little bit small due to the rivets thats get the opening smaller... the patch, quite thin, i guess a thicker one should be better for me but it is a detail... inside and hidden rivets (i just notice that i order a 34 inseam and get a 35, i don't know why ?) they fit good to me so it is ok but i will ask why... the monster !!! So as, i said in the conclusion in the introduction ( ), i really like these pants. The cut and 905 regular fit is perfect for me. I've got a really nice communication with ciano and the few changes have been made. I forget to mention that when i ask for the red thread change for the cuff, ciano answered with pictures to be sure that they understood what i was asking for (yeah, mybroken english is not always easy to understant). Anyway, i'm sure if i need specific details next time, they will be able to make a happy customer. I hope these pants will stretch a little. That's all cheers

Very nice, especially the red stitching. Good luck breaking them in. I have a material sample and it's crazy stuff.

Yep, that is my experience with the pockets on my pair of jeans. Kind of narrow. Not a big deal.

Dude, you will have bragging rights with those for sure. Ciano gives you an extra inch in the inseam, as they will loose an inch when washed, at least that is my experience. I think this duck is a one run, and done, as they are just too heavy for most.
I would wear them in, and resist washing them as long as possible, because you WILL get some shrinkage in the waist, and inseam, and go with a cold wash, and hang dry.

I hope mine come in kinda large. I wanna wash and dry them a lot. Hope to soften the material up a bit.

First off, pics are on page 13 of the duck page.
Got the khakis in today, and couldn't be more pleased. The color looks better in person, than the sample swatch, or pics. I guess its hard to capture the true color of these. It is khaki, with an earthy tone, if that makes sense.
Construction is very well done, with no weirdities, and the fit is spot on, with dimensions according to the fit guide. The fabric is a robust 18oz, but very wearable out of the box. I am able to give these 2 thumbs up, and would recommend to a friend. Its refreshing to get a pair, and have them be just as expected.
Order confirmation, to delivery to house was 6 weeks.

I'm remaining patient until the end of my 4-6 weeks, but you guys are getting me pretty excited about my duck canvas five-pockets that are in the works. They should be wrapping them up any day now.

thomasss - CF gives you a little extra to account for shrinkage. If you want a 31" inseam he gives you 32". I believe that is posted on the website

If you order a 34 inseam you get a inseam label 35 to allow shrinage when washing. In fact, i'm a little bit disapointed as i like a little cuf and after wash, it will be a real 34 inseam so no more cuff... i should have order a 35 inseam (label 36).

What happened to wils? Did his wife make him leave us? Apparently he didn't like being told to tone down the mindless hate.

What happened to wils? Did his wife make him leave us? We had a polite chat about toning down the Gustin posts. It was cordial and was one of a few we had. This time, he got upset and self-removed. He was not banned by us.
