Taupes waist rolled in at 17, thigh at 12.25-ish, cuff at 8-and-almost-a-half and the length a smidge over 35. Shown over the TS ISC. Clicken to embiggen. So within tolerance?

For me, yeah. I'm sure it'll relax a little after a wear or three.

So how's the J21's wearing in for everyone? I've only got 15-20 wears in them and just soaked them. Dryed very stiff but have broken. Trying to decide if I want to spend the $40 to have them hemmed or just rock a 2" double cuff.

I'm thinking I'll probably want to get the j21s hemmed, though I hesitate to do anything before washing them. Did you get any shrink when you soaked them?

Before I soaked I had to triple cuff now after a warm 45 min. soak I only need to double cuff. So I'd say I got about 1.5" of shrink. Which seems like a lot.

I did soak them 2 weeks ago then went on Vacation. So I'm only going by memory which I wouldn't trust very much.

Stiffness post soak was very short term. I think an excellent buy!

Old26 that's good to hear. I'm working on my CF23 pair but I'm anxious to get into the J21s. Good thing I live in the Midwest where I have lots of time to wear heavy denim.

Wore the (J21's) to work last nite. Became comfortable after an hour or so but still need some break in. But they should become a go to pair.

21's are definitely my go to pair for now and I'm going to wear them until I just can't stand it anymore. Starting to get a few baby fades but nothing worth showing off. Personally, I love them.

Anyone else back the powder blue chambray: www.weargustin.com/store/2648? I like it yet was wondering what anyone else though of its rough texture compared to others. I'm almost ready to sew buttons on with a sewing machine. Almost figured it out.

I'm almost ready to sew buttons on with a sewing machine. Almost figured it out. I opted out of that one and into the periwinkle, which is pretty burl(ap)y. I like it, though I wish it were a workshirt given the nature of the fabric. I was sewing buttons on my workshirt the other day by hand, and I suppose a machine would be nice, but I've got them on there pretty solid at this point, I think I would prefer all my buttons sewn by hand since you just can't do things like wrap thread around the underside of the button to support the sewn thread or whatever. They're just far more secure than a machine is capable of doing.

It's possible I read to do both. First with machine and then taking thread, wrapping it around, using hand needle to take it to through to the back, and finally tying it to the other back thread. Saves time but may not be as good

The Japan Taupe arrived today, interestingly they're a very different color than the Taupe Linen, though they're absolutely both "taupe colored". I'll get you guys a couple pictures tomorrow. ickes when you had these (and if you remember), how did they react to washing? Was there a lot of shrink or anything?

My pair never touched water while I had them. Sold them before they had a chance to.

Here's some color comparison shots. The Japan Taupe is definitely the one I'm more excited about, as it's more of a grey brown, while the Linen Taupe is really like a combination of the Downtown Brown and Raw Umber. JT is on top, LT on the bottom. The weft on the LT also has more of a brown tint.

That LT looks cool.
I dont have any brown pants at all so I'm more drawn to that.

I feel compelled to quote Deadpool whenever I see references to the term "brown pants".
That said, I do like both options above - the Japan Taupe has a great look - but that weft on the Linen Taupe may be the one to peak my backing.

Nice pics exophobe . How many brown jeans do you have? I should count mine when I get home. Not that many, I don't think (there are a few Gustin has offered I was unhappy about missing): Japan Taupe Linen Taupe Downtown Brown Brown x Black Herringbone Raw Umber I also have a pair of Ochre 12oz canvas jeans from Ciano, and Caramel Chinos from Gustin, which are kind of on the periphery. I'd like to expand into a couple of the pairs Naked and Famous has offered, RRL jeans are too rich for my blood, but they've had some good browns as well. Also, is it just me or are Gustin jeans coming in super long lately? I think I've got at least a couple more inches than previous 34s on the Taupe and the J21. Thankfully they seem to be coming in big enough in the waist to where I'll be able to give them a warm wash and take some more length out of them.

Wafflecopter has landed, selvedge ID intact. I'm pretty sure it's everything I thought it'd be. If it was using those grey MOP buttons they had briefly with the two pocket (or snaps! SNAPS!) and no button down collar it'd be everything I hoped it'd be.
