For the record - "gauziness" should make it $4 cheaper. That word is pointless. What's wrong with the term gauze? Just curious why the hubbub against the word. They're clearly not talking about wire mesh, but cotton gauze, which is soft, as it is used to treat cuts and burns.

devastitis - you should know better. The only word G is allowed to use to describe anything is "buttery"

I, like others here in the community, find it humorous to see this new descriptor turning up in every new product description. That said, telling me something has a "gauze-like feel" isn't going to drive me to back it (works out for the 90 day no spend, btw). Incredibly soft works well, as the aforementioned term merely makes me think I need to sustain more injuries while mountain biking to appreciate the need/use of gauze. No need to be the Gustin Avenger on this topic.

Soon when someone reads buttery soft, he'll think crab legs.

I think G should start using the description "velvety, like Philadelphia cream cheese"

khaki overdyes and brushed back superlights came in today. the overdyes are a lot nicer than i anticipated...no longer a regret. they almost have an olive look to the weft. the superlights are a slim but sewed more like a skinny. the calves are skin-tight and the left leg is narrower than the right. curious if anyone else is getting these and if they have a similar result. Don't have the superlights, but all of my Gustin slims have one leg narrower than the other. Returned two (because of this defect), kept two.

Actually when I think of gauze it gives me images of a loose weave fabric that stretches and looses shape easily

Pics!! I need to live vicariously because I refuse to spend more on denim for me when I can invest it in my kids' college funds....... I wish I had a college fund. That would have been cool. My dad had his Armani suits and Lincoln town cars. My mom has her Louie and Chanel bags and more karats than a farmer. $100 jeans don't worry about it you will earn that back in interest. Just buy them. ickes and I are starting a bespoke denim and/or leather casket business so yes you can take them with you.

I think G should start using the description "velvety, like Philadelphia cream cheese" I have the next Gustin's release. 20oz low tension indigo denim. These are a office favorite and man we are fighting over the sample! Very rarely do we offer a denim that really speaks to us like an Indian chief on a vision quest. This denim is our first low tension offering and man it's looser than grandma' creamed corn. Natural inky blue dye so you know it will fade to that mythical medium blue we all crave. With a gauze like handfeel that would make Florence Nightengale mad jelly. Ok back to the bar.

Pretty sure we'd collectively lose our minds if Gustin released 20oz low tension denim.

I can do without the unsanforized.
Much rather them release an indigoxcolored weft made from Zimb fabric from 14 - 20 oz. But that would probably go for the low to mid $200s.

I guess it's very slowly beginning to develop, but I'm not holding out much hope for it. Zimbs/King Zimbs/Zloomies have dropped so far, as has IndigoxGrey and IndigoxBlack. Just need them to combine somehow.

Dammit.. I was so sure that I would be able to pass on the GSneaks, and then they drop this: Now I'm begging for them to be too expensive to justify. I need another pair of white sneakers like not at all, but I love them.

Seafoam Pinpoint arrived today, the fabric is significantly "dressed up" over the standard oxford cloth. I ordered this one in a Large Tall with the intent of being able to tuck it in, however I may end up needing to have it altered since the sleeves are probably about 2" too long. The only disappointing thing about the cut, though, is that Gustin hasn't adopted the side scoops of this cut for all their oxfords, as it looks significantly cleaner. I've included a pic here of the Wine, Hunter, and Seafoam Pinpoint next to eachother which really seems to display the difference in texture between the standard and the pinpoint. I want to say the color representation on my picture is pretty accurate, but your mileage may vary. I will say that the color on the Seafoam is muted over the campaign pics, it doesn't come off anywhere near as blue, in my opinion. Edit: and in my opinion the difference in color makes it appear more seafoam and less aqua than the campaign swatch photos indicated Wine, Hunter, Seafoam:

I may have to try the Tall Mediums with the Oxfords. Slim Large is too big in every area except the chest, where it's oddly too small, and classic medium is too small.

devastitis - also, you're not a tall guy, so know that if you go the tall route you're probably not going to be able to leave it untucked. This thing is really long in the body, too, it's just not really a problem since I was planning on it being a tucked shirt anyway as I work on stepping up some of my wardrobe outside of casual/workwear. It's truly a tall fit, I'm just tired of having nice fabrics that won't even act like they're planning on thinking about staying tucked through any (however limited) range of motion. It's going to get a cold wash and then likely go to a tailor with some pants I need to get hemmed, since I'll be surprised if a cold wash shortens the sleeves as much as I'm looking for, and the Large fit isn't generous enough in the chest for me to be comfortable with a warm wash.
