Sometimes though it might be best to ignore. It can keep the peace better than anything at times. Wish this were true. He went ignored for some time, and another member tried to reason with him to no avail. It's nonstop. Some people aren't meant for a reasonable discussion. Ignoring counterarguments and just constantly ranting the same thing over the same article of clothing for weeks just makes for an exasperating forum without proper moderation. Makes this forum seem completely anti-Gustin when this type of posting is allowed without any moderation. We will take a look at this. It is a fine line though. There could be something we have missed. This is why reporting posts can bring this to attention for us.

They look at the facts and they make decision on their own. If they don't share the same point of views, they will not listen. Btw, you probably do not aware but your constant venting on Gustin sizing issues on G's community were the start of a lot of sizing discussions here. Many of the older timers probably had listened to you with their own problems and decided to move on from Gustin. Frankly, when you see people are unhappy about Gustin especially on sizing issues, you probably was the fire to start all these.

Yes, I hate the G's work shirt. They should never put the customers in the position to try to make a $140 shirt to work. It is disheartening to see people to put a "raw denim" shirt in a washer and dryer before any fade, so the fit can work. It is just fuxxed up. Dang brah, get a life. Disheartening? You had weeks to return it, refused, told everyone you're gonna wash the hell out of it, and then complained again when it didn't come out the way you wanted. End your drivel, please. The mods apparently won't. The digs made by you at us (mods) and others who are posting negative comments on Gustin are getting more distracting by the day. This place is here to be honest, diverse, and fair. If you don't like someone's fair comments on bad items/companies, etc then simply ignore or post your positive experiences to counter. But any further posts like this will get edited or deleted. If someone lies, or is being unfair in criticisms, they will be (and have been) warned and/or banned. We do not want to do this, but we will if needed. If anyone is unhappy with this place, please feel free to leave. If a post is unfair, untrue or otherwise not inline with our goals, report it. We will decide as a group - we do most everything as a group behind the scenes. Nobody here is clearing out posts or people for valid opinions.

got the Moss Navy Flannel in today. not really sure how G's doing their weighting for their material as it's listed at 4oz and it's much heavier than the blue rust flannel which was also listed at 4oz. the moss navy is what i've been hoping for from their flannel - not that it's heavyweight material by any means but it's a good mid-weight that's comparable to Uniqlo's flannels if you're familiar with them (great value beater pieces).
i'm noticing much better attention to alignment in my recent shirt deliveries - i couldn't even tell that there was a pocket on the blue rust that came in last week.
looking this over some more, i'm wondering what the purpose of the collar buttons are with this weight. it's not an oxford...they should just ditch them.

Antique Nep Blues have arrived. Much like the NIxP, I am going to enjoy lording these over you shortsighted fools who had the discipline to resist backing them as I did. Oh yes. I'll try to get some pics up later, but I wanted to get some initial thoughts jotted down now. The ANB denim is, in a word, totallyf!@kingawesome. The neps are very cool and add some wonderfully subtle texture without being a distraction at all. As advertised, it's definitely got a postal blue kind of thing going on as far as the color goes. The weft looks pretty much identical to Dirty_Denim's 15-oz Nihon Menpu "brown weft" jeans, i.e. more of a beige or light khaki. It's beautiful, and I would not be at all surprised if I were to learn that the ANB is also a Nihon Menpu fabric. My pair is pretty heavily starched, so for the time being at least, they actually feel quite rugged despite being only 12-oz. They look rugged too. All those color and texture elements come together to give the jeans a dusky, aged appearance. Aside from the lack of fades, the ANB looks well lived-in straight out of the bag. Speaking of the NIxP, they sewed up on the small side of tolerances for a 36 Straight in a few of the measurements - but they are probably my best-fitting pair of Gustins. As a result, I decided to order the ANB in 35 Straight, and I think that was the right call. The top block fits damn near perfect, and the legs are snug but not uncomfortably so. I expect them to loosen up a bit with wear, as my other Gs have. Measurements are all spot on or within 1/4" of spec, with the exception of cuff (17-1/2" instead of 18-1/4") and inseam (37" instead of 36"). Cursory first pass inspection reveals no significant construction flaws or other issues. Well worth waiting an extra couple of weeks for these. Don't know how much attention they'll get now that "winter" is upon us in Florida and I've mostly switched over to the Zims and Supple16s for daily wear, but I can't wait to break the ANB in. Well done, G men.

Nice review Mattbert. Love to see some pictures of them. I am glad people have the mean to accumulate Indigo jeans but sadly I don't have the funding to do that.... At this moment, I am saving/counting my pennies for a pair of Alden Indy Shell. Except LD and Ciano because of their customization and price points, I am not going to make any major clothing purchases until then.

In my defense, the ANB (and three other Gustins that are on their way to me or will be soon) were backed in September and I've been good about keeping the purse strings tight since then. I'll definitely get pics of the ANB, if not today then over the weekend sometime.

I am saving me pennies for some Aldens as well..In fact I was just on Jcrew and now Ebay trying to find a pair to grab. Mattbert I am enormously angry I didnt grab these. I came close but almost always get scared away from anything 12oz for jeans. If they were even 12.5oz I might have grabbed them but its kind of like seeing $199.99 compared to seeing $200 thing but opposite for me.

DD, don' be angry.... because you just save $150 extra worth of pennies that you can use toward the Alden.... frankly, this is exactly what I am telling myself lately. Keeping an eye on Jcrew too...

I'm really about 18 months into being a denim professional now For me, the 18 are just lust. 16-21 I reckon is the absolute love zone as far as weights go. While I could and will enjoy those lighter denims for shirts, not on the legs. Yes, even in the heat here, I just love the heavier stuff - noting that I left off the 26oz Beasts. I've just not got to the point where I enjoy the initial donning of them. Once on, I always think how awesome they are. But it's that initial morning hesitation that has them getting less wear time. My two now that are 95% of my wearing the Gustin 18oz and the LD 18oz. This could change, but after 18 months in, it's where my loyalties lie. Giddyup!

This is why I usually don't show my whole face on pics. Too much love/hate. Its cumbersome enough getting to work and doing the shopping and trying to mob off all the girls and some guys because of my green eyes and stuff, not gonna get into that in here and fill my inbox after every picpost.

Raw Umbers turned up about an hour ago. Gottdang, what a sweet fabric. They have a little bit of a shine to them, which I wasn't expecting. Pretty neat. I think sticking with my old 36 Straight instead of going down to 35 might've been the better move for these. I haven't measured them yet, but I just threw them on for a few seconds to check the fit and they're more than a little snugger in the top block and thighs than the ANBs. Everything from the knee down is fantastic. Everything from the knee up is...not quite jeggings territory, but getting awkwardly close. Should have trusted the old G Community rule of thumb that the Italian denims always seem to sew up a little smaller than the Japanese and American stuff! Oh well, I hope the stitching on these suckers is sturdy because I'll be doing the julian deep knee bend kung-fu routine to give myself a bit more, er, breathing room.

It has a very nice color. Not too bright but pretty vibrant.
