The neps looks interesting. Btw, what kind of belt is there? It has a very nice color. Not too bright but pretty vibrant. The belt is the burgundy one from @stevekas.

Great jeans Mattbert! I like the nep and those are the first G jeans in a little while I've regretted not backing. Also, thanks for the belt mention Mattbert and props @wils

Raw Umbers turned up about an hour ago. Gottdang, what a sweet fabric. They have a little bit of a shine to them, which I wasn't expecting. Pretty neat. I think sticking with my old 36 Straight instead of going down to 35 might've been the better move for these. I haven't measured them yet, but I just threw them on for a few seconds to check the fit and they're more than a little snugger in the top block and thighs than the ANBs. Everything from the knee down is fantastic. Everything from the knee up is...not quite jeggings territory, but getting awkwardly close. Should have trusted the old G Community rule of thumb that the Italian denims always seem to sew up a little smaller than the Japanese and American stuff! Oh well, I hope the stitching on these suckers is sturdy because I'll be doing the julian deep knee bend kung-fu routine to give myself a bit more, er, breathing room. I take it back. One full day of light wear at the office, and the Raw Umbers have already stretched significantly. Going with the 35 Straight was the right call on them as well; didn't think they'd give this much this fast. I'll probably wear them once a week or so, but I think they'll be pretty close to perfect by January. Fit pics!

The only thing totally stop me from buy more jeans from Gustin is the width from the knee down. I want something slightly more taper. Btw, I really like the cutting of your shirt. Perfect fit tuck or untuck.

Nice fit. The only thing totally stop me from buy more jeans from Gustin is the width from the knee down. I want something slightly more taper. Btw, I really like the cutting of your shirt. Perfect fit tuck or untuck. Thanks. It's the Hyde shirt from TS, which I blabbed about more over HERE. I'd prefer another 1 - 1.5" on the shirt length myself. It looks fine untucked, but with the French front (no chest pockets) it's definitely intended to be a slightly dressier shirt and worn tucked in. As such, a little more length (or a tall fit - hook a brother up, TS!) would be appreciated to make for a more secure tuck. As for the jeans, I'm slowly arriving at the conclusion that I like a knee-to-cuff taper of about 2 - 2.5 inches: 19" or so at the knee down to 16.5 - 17" at the hemline. Out of the bag, these Raw Umbers were 18" knee, 17" cuff.

I can't seem to find new arrivals, likely indicating I'm tired, but here's the Monster Twill. You can feel the person that sewed it fighting with the fabric, which I don't like, but this ain't no 4oz twill, hoping my pictures will at least show that. I'm not going to highlight the placket, since that's the one part I consider flawed, The slight button-hole quality issue. The collar that swallows buttons: Here's the back to spark a little controversy. The yoke is not aligned, but it's at a 90 degree angle to the body. The weird thing right below and to the right of the center button is the underside of the collar, there's just a crease there from shipping, which I think you can see (and thusly understand it's not a glaring error) so long as it's pointed out.

That stuff looks beefcake, man. For reals. No surprise it shows signs of having been wrestled.

exophobe that's a gorgeous looking shirt. It looks like it'll punch me in the jaw if I question its placket alignment. Those buttons look too flimsy for that kind of shirt, though. Have you tried it on yet?

Have you tried it on yet? Yeah, I lack in mirrors in appropriate places and sizes for fit photos -- I'm not gonna get all dressed up to go find good public restrooms, either -- but the slim XL is the fit for me. The Brown x Black workshirt, Wine Oxford, and Monster Twill are my Slim XL shirts, and they fit me so much better than the Classic Large, despite what the fit guide measurements may indicate.

I forgot to talk about the buttons even though you asked about the buttons. They really work fine through the body, the little ones on the collar and wrist are the ones that get overwhelmed. Honestly I'd love the thing with white or pearl snaps, with no button down collar, but you can't always get what you want. Maybe once Lawless rights the ship (gonna keep going with positivity on that one) they can delve into these amazing Japanese fabrics -- which is really all any of us want.

Sorry, I think people really need to stop posting G's pattern shirt photos here. Frankly, I will send this one back and will be as piss as my G's Hickory Stripe work shirt if this is what I get from G. I don't want to get all work up but the alignment doesn't look acceptable to me.

So much potential. If they can get their production straight, the next thing I wish they would be able to do is find the sick fabrics that Gustin keeps churning out. None of LD's current fabrics jump out at me as must have. But customized Gustin fabrics would be the absolute death of my wallet.

I can't seem to find new arrivals This thread does not appear in a search for the word "New". I think if we're going to continue to use it (and we should) we've got to find a way to make it easier to find, or else what just happened re: monster twill will happen again if this thread drops off the first page. Wondering if there is meta information on the thread that can be updated, or perhaps a default filter on the search that can be relaxed?

And, really, at this point your opinion on any Gustin product is about as useful as a bot script that automatically posts disparaging remarks every time the brand is mentioned on this forum. Heck, a bot would be less obnoxious because it wouldn't constantly barge into discussions of other companies' products and ham-fistedly bring up Gustin as a complete non sequitur so it could post even more disparaging remarks about them. Enough already. Bloody hell.

The buttons do look a little odd with such a thick luxurious fabric. Surprised they didn't lob the button down collar off for this heavy twills/flannels.

If you use the other search up top it does work better when searching new.

My #142 Monster Twill Blue Sky shirt showed up today. Damn this thing is beefy! It reminds me of the heavy flannel shirts I used to get when I was a kid that were made of thick U.S. flannel, not this thin crap they sell at Old Navy now. As far as I can tell, no flaws of any kind in mine. I was worried about the "delicate" buttons, but honestly, I think the buttons work great with the shirt. I'll be wearing mine tomorrow!
