Lot #2 looks like an entirely different denim - it's amazing the nuances in how they turn out between the first and second lots. REALLY pumped for my Lot 1 coming soon - I may have to break the "no spend 90 day" thing I just signed up for. Wow, that was quick.

Hi cianofarmer - these denim look amazing. Question on your post - you said "anyone who ordered the TEXAS DENIM will get LOT#2" - beginning when? For example, I placed an order at the end of March - that would have been Lot #1 right? Just confirming, and considering a second pair soon:)

Matt
if you have not got the jeans yet then yes..your order will come with LOT#2..Lot#1 is all gone filling orders...I don't think we will ever see LOT#1 color again..so anyone who got the LOT#1 that was it..we are starting to tag the inside so we know which lot it came from..I am sure Lot#3 will be different also...LOt#2 is the same weight [ 12.5oz] but has more dye stuff in it..darker...
we had 5 orders we cut the backs out and was waiting for LOT#2 to come in to finish...Mike freaked out when we got this lot because it did not match the backs we cut. we had to re-cut all the orders again...so we have 5 ...half jean for sale..HAAAA....
I swear ..I think the Old Man did it on purpose..........and it is all Mike's fault for lying to him...HAAA....Cheers Ciano

Are they the front half or back half? I bet you could move some assless chaps around these parts.

Ciano could make up a hybrid pant with half denim, and half wabash, LOL

Then double knee sounds fantastic. Is that like engineer pants?

Then double knee sounds fantastic. Is that like engineer pants? Yeah there are different names for it but the double articulated knee.

Just placed my order for a pair of Lot 2 Texas Denim after working out a few custom details with Ciano. This will be my first jeans order from them (also waiting on a pair of duck canvas chinos). I know I'm going to be super tempted when the 23 oz get posted, but I know I don't actually need another pair of 23 oz jeans, so I figure if I place an order for the Texas Denim then I won't order the heavyweights since my wife might kill me at that point. Or I just order them anyway and figure out how to ask for forgiveness in the interim.

Anyone else take a flyer on the Texas denim lots? I originally put in for Texas lot #1 back on 3/31. Saw from Ciano that they were going with Lot #2 on new/future orders (at least until they run out). Excited for either, as they both are unique to anything else I have (since I don't own any Texas denim). I've been in contact with Ciano on these since those storms/flooding really pushed back some of their production times. I'm at week 15 from my order, but I've been in contact with the guys and they said I should be receiving something this week/early next. I'll post up some pics once I do receive them.

I put in an order after Ciano posted the pictures of the Lot #2, even if I don't get my pair until Lot #3 shows up, it's a fun story behind a pair of jeans. I needed a pair of lighter weight selvedge anyway.

Got a shipping notice on my Texas lot #2 denim from Ciano this morning. Super pumped to get my hands on my first pair of CF's. Interesting to see the new elements that may have been incorporated (as there has been a few updates to buttons, etc.) and if any of these updates will come with my order (I don't know until I see them). Will post up some pics later this week.

But I'm also factoring in the series of storms/flooding in Texas that delayed them about a week or so during that time. Unless they bring on some help, it may be that long - but as everyone has stated before me (and I hope to echo this), that it's worth the wait.

My concern is that this is my first order from Ciano and I want to check out the fit before ordering another pair. This would mean about 12 more weeks for this order. If all is well with fit and I order another item they will take another 12 weeks or so. That's a total of 24 weeks or about January 2016 delivery for the 2nd pair. I hope this makes sense.

The current delivery time-frame on their site is listed as 11-13 weeks, which leaves you with two options. First, you can accept that them's the breaks, and do as you've outlined. Second, you place a second order with notes on said order describing your dilemma, and asking that they not lock in the fit on the second pair until you can nail down sizing on your existing order. They will then confirm your order notes, and you can have a conversation about it at that point.
