Related question: What's the normal turn-time on order confirmation to production to delivery? Been looking like 6-8weeks consistent. I posted my dates in the duck thread.

For those who have the Texas denim already, how does it feel? I love the backstory for the denim, and it makes me think it might be a little rough around the edges. Maybe a little inconsistent? Anyone have some wear-in pictures they can share?

I am awaiting the same jeans. The story behind the denim just made the anticipation go way up! Also excited about getting some canvas 5 pockets once I verify my size. Sorry I don't have any experience with the Texas denim, but I will definitely be reporting back upon arrival.

Do we know anything about where the Texas denim is being made? I thought Cone was the only Murican mill making selvedge denim? Yes you are correct..Cone Mills is the only one in the USA that mass produces selvage denim..i have a guy in Beasley Tx that has an old loom that he makes canvas feed bags for the local farmers and burlap for cotton bales.. He contacted us and ask if he can make some denim for us..and of course we said yes...the denim is crude and he only does a 40-50 yard run...there are a lot of imperfections..so we get about 20 yards of good fabric from the 50 he makes...he is not a denim manufactor..he use to work for Cone Mills in the 50's....he loves the fact we are making hand made denim in Texas..... it it takes him forever..but we do not complain ..especially to an old Texan....we made a deal with him that we give him and his employees and his Farmer buddies free jeans..for his kind offer...........we have a 3rd roll coming in dec if we are lucky...but he will only start to make our denim if we take him deer hunting on our ranch.and hang out with him for a couple of days..he loves the brown water..and loves to tell stories...that is how he does business.... and and I will never give up his secret that he can make denim on his old looms. I actually think it would be cool to see a pair of jeans made using the crude denim with imperfections! I'd buy a test pair of that.

Any details on shrink after the wash? I've got these on order in the 901 fit, a little concerned about the rise after a wash.

Those look darn good. I'm going to wait until after my chinos are made and shipped before committing to anything, but I've been wanting a pair just because they're made here in Texas. Of course, I keep hearing hints about a Texas loomstate which I would really like.

Great question Nater, might be helpful to confirm the weight of the Texas denim. 16.7 is quite a difference from 12.5 oz for the Texas denim.

I was under the impression the 16.7 were texas. maybe that isnt correct. regardless, 16.7oz USA denim, then. Well, technically, the denim is being assembled in Texas. So that can be assumed as "Texas made" just like a Toyota that's assembled in Ohio.

I don't think there are any false claims made on the site, the only denim that claims to be woven in Texas is the 12.5oz. 16.7 appears to be cone orange id.

I need to see where my 4Runner was assembled. I probably should end this discussion here or redirect to one of the Toyota forums. That's crossover appeal.

I ordered a pair of these in the 901 cut for a casual wedding I'm in this summer when it started seeming unlikely that the jeans I ordered from Lawless would arrive in time. Can't wait to get them!

Ciano's website now says "LOT 1" next to the Texas denim. Is there a LOT 2 coming soon that will be slightly different? Heavier? Slubbier? IxI?
