Hey, new member...just joined today, but I did order a pair of CF 12oz ochre duck chinos at the recommendation of this forum. I ordered on Memorial day and am still waiting. HOWEVER...I did email Ciano through the contact us tab on cianofarmer.com and received a speedy response (less than a day). For my pants, he's waiting on corozo buttons, which come from a supplier in South America. The supplier said they'd be shipped September 1, but he hasn't heard anything yet. He did offer quite a few button options as substitutes, but since I'm not in any huge hurry and I really like the look of the corozo buttons, I told him I'd wait. Not sure why I got a response from Ciano and others haven't. I don't think I did anything tricky/unusual with my update request. Ciano does seem truly sorry about the delays though, if that's any consolation.

benjaminpersitz, what colour's the coat? Looks kinda grey. And what weight is it? Is it stock sizing? As for the 23oz, I ordered on the day of release, at least 3 months ago, and still no sign. I actually thought these were on a claimed 9 week wait at the time, which was then longer than average. I remember with LD, 2.5 months was my tipping point when I started asking for refunds. The difference here is that I know Ciano will deliver eventually, but equally I can't see me placing any more orders when it's now a minimum 3 months and rising. My recently ordered G trucker is now looking speedy at a 2-3 month delivery. Praise the Lord for Rakuten. Charcoal. It's stock sizing slim fit except I took the length down a little (I like shorter coats) and Sleeve length down an inch (short arms). It's definitely a boxy coat, it gets better with break in, but it's not slim. I wear it over a flannel and t shirt and it's perfect. Great work coat. Wish the sleeves were less wide.

This is what's holding me back from ordering from Ciano as well, the wait time. They have some nice stuff but nothing as of yet that I'm willing to wait that long for. Hopefully they get caught up soon.

I'm looking forward to wearing them now that the weather is getting a bit cooler.

jeffrx Nice looking pair of pants. CF does great work. He takes way too much time but the final product is well worth the wait. I've got 4 items from Ciano, and the wait times have been from a couple of weeks, to my last order which was just over 4 months wait. Although the wait times have increased, its simply a result of people liking what he is making, and the backlog has increased. I was part of the group that jumped on early, hence some of my products came fairly quickly. I never worried about getting what I paid for, as they are honest, hard working Texans. Keep in mind that this is a 2 man crew, and can only do so much in a days time. Like some of the jacket aficionados on here will attest to, that some people are willing to wait 1-2 years in line, to get a handmade jacket. Its simply supply and demand, and what a person deems reasonable.

I was hoping he'd start on the work vests he's been talking about for months now. I'd love that in Wabash. Not to mention a Wabash Car Coat, as I've said before. And shirts would be interesting too. He must regret that him and Mike were born with only one pair of hands each.
Anyway, Ciano's said that my 23oz blacks should be finished tomorrow, so here's hoping.

I gave him some measurements to get the fit. I just filled out his online form and provided a few key custom measurements. It did work out pretty decent. I would order again, but it would be nice to receive orders faster.

12s, which are a good, solid weight. I can't imaging wearing the 18s here. I agree that the 12oz are an excellent sold weight. I have a pair of 18oz, which are also awesome, but are definitely more substantial/stiff, when new, but will soften up nicely over time. A great weight for cooler weather, or hard wearing work pant.

Just read through half this thread.
About ready to order some 901 chinos in Olive and a Slim Fit car coat in Brown Duck.
I think my biggest question is about shrink. I see Ciano lists an 1" on their chinos. I'm fine on that sizing but am right on the bubble on the SF CCoat where the 2XL is awesome everywhere except the chest. The chest is a 50 and I'm wondering if I should request a 49 because if it shrunk to a 48 it would be right on the money.
Ohh, and any suggestions for thread color on Olive Chinos? I was thinking green to make it tonal but contrast could be fun. Purple so I can be a jagazz? I actually dont think it would look that bad.

Ciano's figures for shrink seem to be pretty accurate, but I'd recommend giving them a call if you're not sure. Khaki/beige thread looks great with green, to give a more traditional contrast look, but I'd recommend going with tonal for chinos unless you're looking for a very "casual" chino look. If they're going to be a step up in formality from wearing jeans, stay tonal.
