So what's the consensus on how much 12oz duck canvas will shrink with a wash? And once washed, how much does this stretch back out in the waist? Trying to dial in my fit with Ciano. Does this stuff behave like sanforized denim? Thanks much! Mine shrank a bit (cold wash air dry), but nothing too noticeable and seemed to be back to pre-wash within a day of wear. If you're going with his slim fit take note of the rise as mine came out pretty low.

I can only guess the floods really pushed stuff back. Not only with production but getting shipments in to the area.

I really like the details on these just don't have a use. Snow shoveling? Tailgating in the winter? Buy a farm? Move to the Midwest or south?

I've got some Carhartt bibs (that are sadly too big now.) My kids refuse to be seen in public with me when I wear them. But damn are they comfy and functional.
Shoveling snow, working on motorcycles, honey-do list shit around the house. Plenty of pockets, shirt stays tucked, pants stay up.
Every man should own some.

ive asked CF to make me a pair of the Overalls. I usually would not want a pair of Overalls. I just don't need that style and function. But I do and will use a pair of overalls for Snow Removal. I'll be waxing them but CF said they would be getting some oiled canvas. But I'm thinking the Otter Wax will work better (I have a great pointer jacket I waxed with the otterwax "Fabric Dressing" not the bar)
You guys have any thoughts/suggestions on how these should be made? What do you like/don't like on the IH design?

I would want, a snap pocket on one side of the bib, pen/tool pockets added on the other side and one snap rear pocket. I've tried waxed cotton and find it ill suited for my weather. Probably great in the PNW. I'd probably just use scotch guard.

I've been waiting since March. Oof, that's rough. I've decided I'm not ordering anything from CF until his production times get a little better. A shame too cuz he's got some nice looking stuff, however, like Lawless I think the customization features are what causes the slow downs

Yeah I have an order of the 23 oz indigo from June 12. So in theory I am at the end of the 13 weeks current production time.

Same boat. Payment sent 6\2, so around the 15 wk mark. Email response got spotty after about 10 wks. Was told to look for a shipping notice last mon or Tues and follow up with an email if I didn't...no notice and no response from the follow up. This was also after a lengthy delay after my first order and being told he'd make it up to me next time. Whatever...Good products and all...just done with waiting 1/4 - 1/2 yr for clothes.

CF is really damaging his brand with his poor customer service. I want him to succeed as much as everyone else but most folks won't tolerate poor customer service and ignoring emails. Just because some of us see value in his product and are willing to put up with delays doesn't mean the general public will. I just hope that he can get it together.

DigDug It looks like if you want some bibs for this winter it won't be CF. Also check Filson for an oil cloth option.

I wouldn't say/call it poor Customer Service, maybe poor time management.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the backlog. They have reached a tipping point.

The floods plus an influx of orders plus not wanting to expand his workforce to people he doesn't trust to put out quality has put him back. He might want to pus pause on orders for a few weeks to get caught up. But other than that, Ciano is solid. You will get your stuff. It's essentially bespoke at this point since he will do truly custom work. But you are going to have to wait for it.

I have a pair of ochre chinos and they are some of my favorite pants and definitely the best made. I have no problem waiting but I have a product in hand from a previous order so I know I'll be happy when my stuff is finished.

benjaminpersitz, what colour's the coat? Looks kinda grey. And what weight is it? Is it stock sizing? As for the 23oz, I ordered on the day of release, at least 3 months ago, and still no sign. I actually thought these were on a claimed 9 week wait at the time, which was then longer than average. I remember with LD, 2.5 months was my tipping point when I started asking for refunds. The difference here is that I know Ciano will deliver eventually, but equally I can't see me placing any more orders when it's now a minimum 3 months and rising. My recently ordered G trucker is now looking speedy at a 2-3 month delivery. Praise the Lord for Rakuten.

Just an update on my previous post. My order from March has shipped. So, there was a long wait, but at the end of the day I will get a good product (hopefully).
