Also he told me they were working on orders as much as possible, trying to finish items up before they had to evacuate their area by midnight last night.

Yeah, I got a similar email, and a photo of an alligator that was hiding under their truck. He also said that they're introducing 23oz indigo and blackXblack denim very soon, so that should be interesting.
I watched his KS video from his site for the first time, and it struck me that he was saying the same as LD (American made, vintage equipment etc), with the subtle difference that Ciano actually delivers what you order, and within a sane timescale.
I'm hoping my two 18oz canvas jackets will be dispatched this week, as he has the buttons now.

My black Ciano Farmer 18oz 5 pocket with navy thread arrived. The fabric is thick and fairly stiff. Pocket bags are a very substantial canvas feeling fabric. Back pockets half lined. There are even a couple loops sewn on the inside back that I am guessing are for hanging the jeans up from. I think the copper rivets look very cool against the black. They seem very well made. All the stitching looks great except the leather patch did have the thread coming loose in a spot. One of the buttons on the fly came off also. I was going to hammer back on but Ciano told me to send back at their expense to fix and will also take care of the patch thread. I put some Obernauf's LP oil on the natural leather patch. I did a warm soak and they fit me great. Will take some fit pics later. They didn't shrink much at all. 1" in length was the most. I will not be cuffing these so ordered true length. I have worn them a couple days and the waist has stretched .25" Pre soak measurements Waist 15.75" sides pulled tight Front Rise 10.5" Rear Rise 13.75" Thigh 11.5" 2" down Knee 8" 15" down Cuff 7.5" Inseam 31.5" Post soak air dry measurements Waist 15.75 Front Rise 10 3/16 Rear Rise 13.6 Thigh 11 2" down Knee 8" 2" down Cuff 7.5 Inseam 30.5

I realized why Ciano is one of the best. He cuts the jeans for you. Not hemming a 36" inseam for a 29" which screws up proportions.

@winterland. very nice. what is the tagged size and model? p.s. what is the tag syntax to link to your name? You have the right syntax, but he is sneaky. His username is "admin" while his display name is "winterland." For most everyone else our usernames/display names are the same. The syntax is "@ username" so his is "@ admin" (without the spaces) Winterland those duck jeans are awesome! I am waiting on some 18oz khakis and can't wait.

@winterland. very nice. what is the tagged size and model? p.s. what is the tag syntax to link to your name? These are the Ciano Farmer 5 pocket jean which I sent in a pair of my favorite fitting jeans, Naked and Famous E4 Weird Guy to have sizing copied. I like a mid rise with a slim not skinny thigh leg and cuff. If they were a tagged size it would probably be approx 31w 31L Shoot Ciano an email if neither of their sizing options work. They also have a few other size options they can offer without getting into the custom sizing option. It took me buying a few different pairs and styles of jeans to find what I finally liked best as far as sizeing. I used to wear Levis 501 but they are too high of a rise and big leg and cuff. I then thought that I liked Gustin's slim fit but the rise is a little too low for me. My Iron Hearts are a little more mid rise but the leg and cuff is a little big. The weird guy fit was finally it. I really like the Lawless slim straight sizeing also. It is basically the same as the weird guy with a little slimmer leg and cuff. It is definitely a journey to find what you like and who knows if it will keep changing. My tagging name came like that when I started the forum. Not sure why it just isn't @winterland but atadmin WinterlandI might have to look into that so its not so confusing. Thanks univibe88 for explaining.

seth and anyone else...the forum seems to retain the name that was used initially and does not persist when the display name is changed. (e.g. admin/winterland, dirtydenim/sal, wils/iforgetwhathechangeditto) if you ever wonder what name to use when tagging a member, just hover over their name in a post by them and you'll get a handy little mouse over display of their system name.

MiddleAge. Not that it matters anymore.
And I've never accessed this site from anything but an iPad or iPhone, so hovering is a bit tough. But thanks for the info, it's nice to know.

Good point re: Mobile devices. On the tapatalk app the original username is always displayed, so there is no issue there. From a browser, clicking the name should result in the profile page, which also displays the username
