Got my 2 pairs of 12oz duck canvas chinos the other day (these are the Moss Green and Indigo Selvage that Ciano posted earlier. They're both great pants and I highly recommend them.
As you can see in the pics of the Indigo Selvage they have an almost antique look when paired with the copper thread which is very cool, in my opinion.
They definitely shrink by at least an inch in the inseam as Ciano states on his website. Another thing - the back rise in my pairs shrank by an inch after the initial soak and hang dry. This left things a little tight in the rear. I called Ciano (seriously, every time I call him he answers. Very good customer service!) and he recommended using a lot of steam from an iron and possibly getting them a bit damp on the back rise then stretching them back out. I did this with my regular iron and used a pair of pliers on each end (the crotch and the waistband) and stretched them back out to normal and they fit perfect now.
So far I have loved dealing with Ciano and I have a pair of the 12.5oz Texas denim on order. I recommend him to anyone considering a pair of canvas chinos.

Back from vacation but no packages yet! Hoping I get a ship notice soon, although I probably would already have them if I didn't request a rise and inseam change mid order, haha.

It's been a long time since I was a 29. Those look awesome, the contrast stitching does it!

I just got off the phone with Ciano, and they are reeling from the storms they have been having in Texas. They are currently without power, but are in the shop hand cutting fabric for orders, and are looking to get electricity soon. Mike came to the shop in the middle of the night, to put up fabric in case of flooding, so all is good.
The Post Office is closed, so orders will be waiting for them to open for current shipments.

They are currently without power, but are in the shop hand cutting fabric for orders, and are looking to get electricity soon. That is dedication! But I couldn't care less about my pending order in their time of crisis. I hope they get everything sorted soon and don't have to suffer through extreme damage or loss.

This would explain why I got a shipping notice but haven't had any movement on the package yet. For some reason I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Situation is really bad there. Hoping everyone is safe.

Just made my first CF order for the duck canvas in 'Desert'. Ciano was super helpful with answering questions and was able to work out small sizes at no additional cost. Can't wait for these to come through
