I'm going to be ordering a pair of black 18-ounce duck 5 pocket. Not sure of what color stitching to go for. Also not sure if I should cuff or not. I'm going to go with the narrower pocket spacing. I want the same, but not black. I'm just not rocker enough, but I love the ducks. Dunno man - you can go stealth and all-black, or maybe a dark grey or if you want to pop - gold or red. All would look great, depending on your vibe... I'm looking at possibly Navy for stitching. Hard to tell how dark it is from the website.I don't want to be too contrasty but it is cool to see the stitching subtly. I am checking if they possibly has purple or a darker blue. Another topic is you have the option of articulated knee. Has anyone had added this option with Ciano? Just wondering the pros and cons of it. Not going to be doing any mountain climbing in them so not sure if they are needed. Then again the duck fabric is supposed to not have as much stretch as normal denim.

I do my cardio on a hill that gains 1000 ft./per mile, and have worn my 18oz duck hiking this, with no problems with comfort, and there are some fairly steep sections. I think the articulated knee would be better suited for someone working on their knees a lot, but maybe someone can chime in that has a pair of something with that feature. Ciano told me that Mike stated he wished he would have made his pair with the articulated knee in the 30oz Bull, but that fabric is cartoonishly stiff.

Just got word from Ciano that my chinos will be shipping next Wednesday. That's about 6 weeks from the time I paid the invoice to when they will ship. I'll post pics once I have them in hand.

I'm at 8 weeks for my first order. 30oz Bull Denim and a 12oz Duck Field Hand jacket both items said 6-8 weeks so I think I will email Ciano tomorrow to see how things are going. I'm guessing both will ship together so if one isn't done yet that would hold both up not a big deal for me. "That's the way she goes boys! The way she f!@king goes."

Trust me Ciano is worth the wait...is 12-15 weeks isn't bad after all we've been through as a group.

They had to source a part on a machine, which held them up for 2 days, but they are working hard. Ciano told me they were about a week behind things currently.
This is a small shop, working hard to make us happy campers.

Ciano was nice enough to show a sampling of thread colors, so I can try to pick what go with 18 oz black duck 5 pocket jeans. Navy is my favorite so far. But that could change. NAVY-PURPLE-ROYAL-GREY-COPPER-BROWN-BLACK

NAVY-PURPLE-ROYAL-GREY-COPPER-BROWN-BLACK I personally like the grey best with it, especially with the idea that there will be some color fading, since I'm assuming you will beat the hell out of this jacket.

That was quick, you got lucky on your order. I received shipping confirmation on mine this morning at 10.5 weeks from payment. Ciano had to remake my order though as pants did not come out right the first time which added a couple more weeks to the process. I am eagerly awaiting for the package to arrive, hopefully sometime soon next week. Will post pictures when they get here.

I noticed that the 12oz duck canvas pair that I have feels heavier than a 12oz pair of jeans.. why is that? Does the density of the weave have something to do with how it feels heavier?

Im liking the Brown but cant really trust my phonescreen. Ciano sent the thread sample to me and I am going with the Navy. Subtle but still shows some color to know you're not wearing Levis. Nothing wrong with Levis though. The samples show up fairly true to color on my computer and phone.

I ordered some 18oz with the articulated knee. Truth is I just did it for something different and becasue I think it will make them a bit more comfortable with the heavier weight. I did the back cinch as well. My order is only a few weeks old so it will be a while before I lay eyes on them though.

Got my brown 18oz ducks back. 905 fit but slimmed in the lower leg some.
Awesome. Love them. Pockets are big and useable. Fabric is killer.
The only thing I would do over would be shank buttons instead of corozo for the fly.

davelewis - thank you - that's what I wanted to hear. I think I'll get the brown canvas - maybe go with a cool thread color like royal blue. Any suggestions?
