Panarei doesn't seem to be making any bronze watches anymore and Aninomo isn't really doing much these days. I'm not sure of anyone else in the mechanical watch world using bronze as a case material.
Looks like Archimede is, if you don't mind a pretty plain Jane ETA movement.

Christopher Ward trident 600 vintage 38mm. My favorite right now. They just released info on a pre-sale for two titanium versions.

I don't really know much about the major brands--still new to watches but they get me ticking

Well, my wife said she wants me to get something "less huge" and since this year is the 25th anniversary, I picked out this SINN I've always wanted. I feel guilty as I just got rid of all my expensive ones, but I'm probably going to be happier with this one on a daily basis, and when I need to wear a suit/tux. *Edit, wrong pic. But mine will have the silicone strap.

Nice! I used to work in Frankfurt and grabbed a Sinn 856 from them. Had it about a dozen years, the one watch I haven't sold. I dig the oil filled ones, pretty cool. And the u-boat steel is nice and tough. Enjoy.

That is fecking sick. Sinn is so clean yet still rugged; really did the vibe of the entire brand.

I return to my high horse about quartz movements... The U2 is a classic, I've debated one many times.

That is fecking sick. Sinn is so clean yet still rugged; really did the vibe of the entire brand. They use some really clean dials. I love the simplicity of the non numeral 556. devastitis, another option for a sub $1k mechanical watch. Oops, not quite, stupid inflation.

Which ones are you leaning toward? They do "nearly new" sales and I'm hoping to save some dough going that route. Blue Moon phase watch is nice! And the non DLC titanium is cool, but too much $$ at full retail, when there is so many other options (a nice problem to have

Set and forget is a nice way to go, and who knows, I could change my mind again. Always thought that the liquid filled was a neat thing that I've never owned...

Always thought that the liquid filled was a neat thing that I've never owned... I'm overdue for service on mine, it loses about five minutes a week. I plan on buying another watch so I won't be naked while the Sinn is visiting Germany. I just haven't sorted out what I want yet. I'd like a Zenith Handwound, just haven't found the right deal.

Be careful, Zenith makes some great looking watches but also some of the most violently awful ones too. It actually keeps me a little wary about buying one.

Its weird so many companies get it wrong, when they make it look so easy! lol It's meant to mimic the clean look of an aircraft altimeter. Which, of course, it meant to be easy to read at a glance for obvious reasons. That's why I like it too - simple, but so many fugg it up which is amazeballs.

Here is the epiphany I just had: I like "tool" watches (divers, altimeter pilots--like you mentioned) that also look stylish and aesthetically pleasing too (the yin yang for lack of better analogy) And same with the clothes/boots I find myself gravitating towards: Work wear/western that are "tools of the trade" but get morphed into a stylized version for us!
