Not to much happening yet. Keeping them clean (as not for yard work, or my day job), a lot of walking in them. But they exist.

Mattbert, the G&M 22oz moleskins are truly disgustingly awesome! EVERYTHING is "right" - incl. the fit. Stoked to add 'em into current heavy rotation w/ 26, 23 (& Zimb 18 in another month or so)...I had another pair of "heavy" moleskins tailored (w/ nice details etc) & they're cool but they can't hold a candle to the G&M's!

Man, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for some G&M castoffs on eBay or something.

Mattbert; there's not much left. The guy that Highlights bought his off of is the same guy that was selling multiple pairs of Guns and Money jeans, all in my size too, for 100 bucks a pop brand new. These retailed around 400 per pair. I debated for a few days on which pair I wanted to buy from him (he had IndigoxGreen, IndigoxOrange, and IndigoxPurple) and in that time I took to make my decision I think they all sold .

Chainstitch unraveled on the inside right cuff of my beasts today. This isn't a situation where abrasion between the cuffs caused this to happen.. the thread just simply began to unravel. Not a big deal, though.. I put a dab of superglue on the two points where the thread now begins to hold the hem. Attachments:

As much as I like the look and roping from a chainstitch, the ability to unravel makes it structurally inferior to a lockstitch. Sucks that yours started to come out. Think you'll keep it glued or get it stitched back up?

I think someone mentioned in the past that there is a place can do chainstitch on the beast.

At 5'10", the 34" inseam allows me to cuff with a good amount of stack. I'm gonna keep 'em superglued this way and will consider getting them restitched (probably lockstitched) if they totally come undone. Yeah, they're expensive and special, but I don't want to get in to the habit of babying them too much. I think wear-induced imperfection lends character, whereas quality-induced imperfection does not, but the 2-3" where there is no longer red stitching isn't too big a deal for me.

How are the beasts doing in the wild???
Honestly just started to rock mine more. The seem to be a pretty fast fading pair. Issues are apparently.
1 size small ain't fun.
Chain stitch on the hem is a little wonky Too button hole hates life and started to show premature signs of aging. They crock a ton.
But they are 26oz of awesomeness!

I've got 70 or more wears in them. There more forgiving now but they still let me know who's boss. I'll get my money's worth out of them. I figure I'll wear them on my nite job, 4 nites a week for 6 months a year. That's 100 wears a year. If i do that for 4 years that'll be 50 cents a nite But I'd much prefer to wear my Loomies or Ok's or Zim's.

Please remind me what crocking means.
I am now 4 months into mine. Started off quick fading but have leveled off it seems. My top button is also in bad shape.
Honestly I am looking forward to washing mine. I am planning an ocean wash on a trip to Florida in March.

Take a paper towel and rub it against the denim. Crocking is the transfer of dye. IE: smurf shoes, car seat, couch.
Diggy winter night job? Working the streets to support your clothing habit? Gonna need to have a style intervention.
