Mine are coming along. They sewed up small and were a struggle to get buttoned at first (not to mention the button holes were super tight) but they fit great now. They are still so heavy and stiff. I feel a bit of relief when I take them off after a long day. I'm got great creases behind my knees and some whiskers forming. When those fade they will be sick. I'm getting a bit of bright blue popping through where my belt buckle rubs and on the inside of my ankles. The fades will be awesome.

Is he selling them or auctioning them? That post rubs me. If more than one person is interested, he should sell them to the first person who offers his asking price. Or move it to ebay.

How is everyone doing with the beasts? I've noticed they are my only Gustins that bleed/crock. I have to sit on a towel, only wearing with one pair of my Clark derbys shoes since they are stained with indigo already. Not getting much stretch yet. I feel I can never wash them for fear of shrinkage.

My Beasts are great. I am wearing them pretty much full time these days, and they are very comfortable. I got quite a few wears into mine before doing a cold wash, and they indeed tightened up afterword. Seemed to take a few days of wearing to get them stretched out to where they were beforehand. They are my most fitted pair I own, and would not want any hot water to ever touch them. Love the heavyness. Roman has some Indigo, and BlackXBlack ordered in 23oz., and could be tempted on the blacks, as I haven't had any black jeans in 40 years. They could always be my dress up pair.

Loving the Beasts here. I have to get my diet back on though - football/fall had me eating a little too much and the waist is tight. Using hot water was no issue - already back in form and feeling good. Using the Brown Heavy Gustin belt too - awesome piece (still on sale).
If Lawless' black 23 had a white weft, I'd be in. Don't like tonal denims myself...

I think Old26 is referring to the tonal nature of the fabric itself, e.g., BlackxBlack.

Wearing them regularly now. Some good creasing, much needed to bend over. Like old26 I've got the Heavy Weight belt. I'm finding that between the two I've got a lot to break in. I think once the belt softens up (in about a year) it'll be better.

Yeah, I meant the weft. Don't like any denim that is ThisXThis. Needs some contrast for my liking, but the heavy stuff is great. Only time I hate it is the 20 seconds it takes to put it on - every morning I grab them and think "holy hell, these suck". But once on, love 'em.

I've been wearing mine 6 days a week for the last month. They are great! Getting some nice creases. Can't wait until the fades pop. I am getting a couple area where the white is poking through with and awesome electric blue around it.

Doing real work in the beasts! Dude - I so need about 6 of those for my back yard! My wife works in the "Industry" and my back yard is filled with crap leftover from movies from the last two years. Make that 10 of those things. Beasts are awesome - yours are looking great. Where is that - looks back east to me?

univibe88; Guns and Money no longer exists. They had a very short run but it looks like they put out some great products. It was a team of two brothers that handmade every pair.

Doing real work in the beasts! Lookin' mighty fine, brah...those Beasts have found an exceptional home!! Love your boots & belt, too. Prime evo's for those bad boys!! The 22oz G&M moleskins - which I scored via Ickes' & DirtyDenim's posts here - are one of my all-time top clothes' purchases. I LOVE 'em!! They're very special. Those 2 brothers...wow...what a team!!!!! Thanks for your great pic, univibe!!

Thanks highlights! I am loving my beasts but taking today off. I am wearing some RPM West that are about 9 months old. They are soft and comfy. I call them my pajama jeans. They have a few soaks and recently their first wash. They are too big for me now and I was hoping a hot machine wash and drier would help. It didn't. But I love the shade they've faded to.
The belt is a Gfeller casemakers made from veg tan Hermann Oak. It's at least 5 years old and well patina'd. The buckle is solid brass civil war era repro Louisiana plate. The boots are Whites Smokejumpers. They are about a year old and I wear them all the time. The more I kick the shit out of them the better they get!

My tailor told me the beasts are too heavy to be hemmed, so I had to take matters into my own hands!!
