i really like the cut of mine, in the straight not slim mode. Just have to worry about the buttons every time i use them... Also since the construction is not heavy duty, i would not wash much...just my thought

And I don't wash often, only when the three year old gets enough questionable stuff on things that they require a bath.

Update: Still annoyed, sad and pissed that Gustin changed their shirt sizing. They made their shirts unwearable and then start releasing new patterns almost every other day. How much longer until they revert the decision? I have like $250 in credit from the shirts not fitting, and I don't need any more denim or sneakers. I just want those shirts to fit =(

Their suggestion was for me to get a LARGE and then go get the sleeves tailored. That brings me into full blown retard shirt pricing territory. Sad panda

Hey, anyone gave any experience with Japan indigoxblacks? Any good? Good fading? I'm looking for something more interesting than the white fades... The gang can correct me if I am wrong (please do), but all denim fades white unless there is some sort of color core. One of my first five pairs from gustin was the italy bluexblack. I had imagined that the blue would wear off and the black would show through like some magical shadow fade. But I quickly learned that this is not how it works. Essentially, both the blue warp and black weft both lose their outer color layer and just change to the inner core yarn color which will be white. Also, the blue and black combo made them look like one solid dark blue color to start so it lost the "jean" appearance and looked more like a casual dress pant. Also, with the dark warps and wefts, they look solid dark, so the white-ish fades are actually more pronounced as the appear. Top it off with gustin sewing these a little small in all dimension and you end up with a pair of jeans I only wore a handful of times. Not for me, but we are all different. Maybe that is what you want. Gustin ran a rainbow core at some point but even then, the inner core was varying shades of blue, purple and red. They had an odd feel and are very slow faders...I am still working on it. Sloooowly. Too many in the rotation.

I asked because the bluexblue comments above and pictures found... had some nice indigo and bright blue fades before white. I read some other forums that confirmed what you described, but couldn't find any pics, so thank you very much for clarifying. Guess these won't be my new drops just yet. Enjoying my heavy blackxcoal right now.

Unsanforized cone are tempting

What do you guys think about attempting to size up on the new shirts? I was a classic medium, which fit perfectly, but the new sizing makes me look like a sausage in the medium. Looking at the mesasurements, the new large may work. Anyone tried?

Unsanforized cone are tempting Gustin has been putting out some good deals on Cone denim lately. Levi's is selling their cone shrink to fits for about twice that price...and I like the fit of Gustin more. On the other hand, they do not have the character I need now.

On the old G pattern I would probably instacop this. Not into the rounded pockets, but like the NON button down collar and the fabric. Baby steps.

That reminds me a lot of this: www.weargustin.com/store/1409 When I got this shirt, it looked awful so I returned it. I do like this ones colors more though, hard to say. My last few items I have had to return, which really sucks.

Okay, got my chinos. Pretty close to perfect for me. If they had a zipper, I'd be fully onboard.

"You know what I need when I'm out jogging? A sweatshirt that really keeps my neck warm. Not a hoodie or anything built to do anything athletic - but a shawl collar."
[Crickets]
"Great! It's decided. Let's move this into production."
^This conversation clearly happened at G world headquarters.

So I just got one of the new Gustin shirts in size Large. I was always a classic medium and the new medium was terribly small. I had to return two orders and I just re-ordered one in large to see how it fit. I'm happy to say it fits almost perfectly, just as good as the classic mediums did. If anyone else was a classic medium and bummed out about the new sizing, just go with the large. Very happy to report this.

Anyone have the Italy Black denim available now? Good, bad, meh? I've been on the wait list for the Japan Black2 for over a year and wonder if I should just go for the Italians. I have a pair of Italian BxB and while I like them, I wouldn't really call them jeans. I'd like a pair of black denim with white weft and contrast stitching that will develop some nice fading and G's fit works well for me. Thanks.

I've got the Italian BxB and a fre year in beige actually fading pretty well, with sharp white contrast. Just roll with what you've got and maybe hold out for a pair of black with white weft and contrast stitching.

Sleeve and shoulder measurements appear to be too big though, so while the chest may fit better, everything else would be too wide and too long.

I won't pay for it, but have always dug it. www.heddels.com/2016/11/momotaro-natural-indigo-dyed-loopwheel-cardigan/
