Maybe it's just the after-Christmas blahs. Everyone spends through the fall when the deals are abundant. The hardcore guys are still there, but the usual guys on the fence may be in hold or "do not spend" mode.
It sure doesn't look like those gingham flannels are gonna fund.

Out of those, only the Zim's were a consideration. Mainly it's weight, then color for me. I have a fairly narrow vision on denims so that's my problem. Herrinboners are great denims for shirts or coats, but I could never rock pants. You shoulda pulled da triggah! The Zims is awesomesauce. And you'd love the NIxP too if you weren't blinded by your weighcism. I hear ya on the Herringboners, though. I'm not entirely convinced I can pull off my Ciano-made postals. Kidbert is 100% NOT convinced. She saw me trying them on last night, and she sort of cocked her head at me and said, "Daddy...Iiiiiii don't know if you...look the best with stripey pants." She is diplomatic for a seven-year-old, but the message was clear nevertheless.

If that had been an option at the time, I would have gone for a chino cut instead.

Not sure if it's the model in general, or that I still have too many blue denims in the house. Dunno. I'm looking for more shirts and footwear now.

They are possibly my favorite jeans I've ever owned. I'm waiting on a pair of the 18oz Zimb's from a guy in England. I think they got held up in the storm out east so I may be waiting a while.

They need to revamp there shirt (or add another one). I'd back that natrual indigo for $147 just for the hell of it (I'd use it as a spring/summer work shirt or layer it under a WS). Loose the button down collar, make the scoops less bib like. But tell you the truth, I'm with Old26. Think I'm backing away from the crowd source thing.

$147 for a kinda run of the mill shirt is a lot. $160 gets an iron heart and other japan brands. $147 for almost the same shirt as the basic chambray they sell. Natural indigo doesn't do it for me. Can't justify paying more. Same goes for indigo dyed clothing being charged a premium since indigo is all the rage now.

From what I've seen natural indigo has a different blue hue to it (more vibrant). But yes it is a run of the mill construction (maybe even sub standard. Why the hell can't they get there patterns strait!)

I sense that if G offered a Just Send Me the Damn Fabric button, they'd make a killing.

Brown Organics (New Drop) vs Raw Umbers (Have) , thoughts? Streakiness of the brown organics just doesn't work for me. I'd much prefer raw umbers, but G doesn't seem to want to release them again.

The Raw Umbers themselves have a little bit of streakiness to them, I've noticed. I'm glad it's subtle, because I too am not a big fan of the texture on the organics.

ZOMFG selvedge oxfords just made my wallet hurt Why? I don't get the huge draw to selvedge over normal oxford cloth? Price $109 vs $69. Please someone tell me why selvedge oxford cloth is $40 better ( or better at all) compared to a standard oxford cloth?

I backed the Brown Organics once upon a time, but they didn't pass QC, so I got a refund. Now... nah.

ZOMFG selvedge oxfords just made my wallet hurt I am trying to visualize wtf they mean with the description of how they're incorporating the selvedge ticker. We labor over every construction detail and find subtle ways to incorporate the selvedge. [...] The back of the placket gets selvedge edges running the entire length on both right and left sides. We also incorporate the selvedge on the back yoke. Nothing flashy, just a cool detail for you to enjoy each time you put on the shirt. So is that all on the interior of the shirt, like in these sample photos? It's not clear to me.

Oxford connoisseurs don't have to look any further. This is ultra rare selvedge Oxford. Woven in Japan, butter soft feel, solid weight, we didn't think Oxfords could make for collector shirts until we found this style.I mean, hello?!?

brentkuz a.) buttery soft -and- b.) the temp cutter wasn't trained well enough by the normal guy to know he's supposed to cut off the selvedge edge

God I hate how every fabric is butter/buttery.
Oxford connoisseurs???!?!? I doubt it. All the huge oxford ivy guys I've read are looking for collar roll.
