I'm actually pretty happy with all the shirts I have from G. That said, the fit actually works for me which is probably the most important thing in my mind. That, and I only picked up one of the shirts directly from G at retail price and got the rest off people on Grailed etc. whom the fit, incidentally, did NOT work for (lucky me).

15oz Zimbos are back. Can't decide if I want a pair as my Oki's seem to cover that base fairly well.

I'm more interested by what they mean by hand stamped leather patch. Does that mean the brown patch? that's the same verbiage used for the standard patch. i'd assume it'll be the brown patch based on the info someone posted from Ren the other day saying that the last run of 15oz zimbs were spec'd to get the brown patch.

Pics show the regular brown patch. of course since they can never be bothered to change/update the photo captions customers may think that the patch photo is for fit only, and not for a representation of the actual fabric/product...if it weren't for the shirt being the same.

I've been waiting for the zimbs to come back. Someone tell me again how amazing they are so I'll feel better about backing them.

Couple of the new flannels have been dropped. Can't wait to see what #3 looks like.

Can you 15oz Zim babies tell us more? Take the Okayamas, make them an oz heavier, change the shade of indigo slightly, and make the inside feel soft and comfortable from day one . I know that's a short summary and it probably doesn't do them complete justice but I think it sums them up pretty well

the coolest thing about them to me is that they feel so tough, sturdy, rugged, durable, starchy, and crisp on the outside but very comfortable and soft on the inside. Add to that the great Japanese texture and cool indigo shade with a greyish/greenish cast and you have an awesome pair of jeans

I think if you have the Okayamas there is no real point in buying the Zimbs.

I just need to stay on my diet for a while - there's only so many pairs you can wear. I really had hoped for something like the CarbonXCoffee from G or LD. In 18-20oz.

I think if you have the Okayamas there is no real point in buying the Zimbs. I wore the Oka's yesterday, and it was the first time I was feeling "blah" over them. I'm so used to wearing the 18 and 26 that they just didn't excite me like they used to. Maybe once it warms up again I'll get the spark back.

I think if you have the Okayamas there is no real point in buying the Zimbs. STRONGLY DISCONCUR. I'd say that's true the other way around--if you already have the Zimbs, there is no need to seek out the Okies--but the Zimbs are worth trying for anyone, especially for someone who's never experienced the Zimbabwean cotton before. The Okies are terrific in their own right, but the Zimbs are just a different animal, in my opinion. That long-staple stuff is on another level and makes for a "you CAN have your cake and eat it too" denim. Like ickes described, the combination of traits on the outside of the jeans versus the inside really ought to be physically impossible in a single material. But, somehow, it ain't. I've had 15 different Gustins pass through my door so far (now pared down to a dozen), and the Zimbs are the only denim I'd strongly consider buying again before the current pair is even close to giving up the ghost, just so I have a backup pair ready and waiting for when that day finally comes.

I've gotten used to heavier denim (21oz) and wearing Zim 18, I found them comfortable right away. Also, lighter denim just doesn't do it for me anymore, especially during winter. I'm eagerly awaiting Kuroki 18 from LD.

I'd do the 18's but the 15's still seem too similar to my Oki's. If I had it to do over again, I'd skip the O's and only do the Z's for indigo.

Wearing my CF Kuroki 20oz since November and I have a hard time to wear anything lighter. Btw, I probably bought the wrong pairs of Gustin; Natural Indigo, True Blue Silk (sold), Rainbow Nep (sold). All three of the fabrics are not great (in my eyes). With Gustin jeans doesn't have any nice "Jeans detail" and the leg opening is too large for me, the triple whammy is causing me to not wear any Gustin indigo jeans since July last year. When the weather is warm, I wear my LVC and Lee. When the weather is cold, CF 20oz.

I would say the 15 does the best job of showcasing the Zimb cotton's perfect balance between durability and straight out of the bag comfort. The 18 is stiffer and doesn't move with me the way the 15 does.

I wish I was as excited with owning the Zimbs as you guys are. Hopefully in a few weeks, I will be able to fit in them.

Way to go guys. I already have Z18s, ZLights, but I was holding back on the Z15s because I already have Loomies to fill that spot. Then I see all this talk about how awesome the Z15s are, and how they compare to the 18s, and before I know it I've backed a pair.
At least the Zimb family will be complete.
