calling Mattbert: if you were only willing to acquire one more pair of indigo denim in the foreseeable future would you opt for the NIxP or the standard zimbs? (i'm leaning towards the zimbs...typically preferring a heavier/crispier denim...but the colors of the NIxP look amazing)

These new fabrics are driving me crazy, I feel like I'm developing color blindness. The hunter green looks grey. The charcoal twill looks blue, the wine looks grey. I think the color balance has gone crazy wonky since they started using the concrete background over the wood stump, the only things that pop recently are super bold colors.

Agreed, that stained concrete background is the suxor.

If you zoom in on the Hunter Oxford, by hovering your mouse over the swatch, it is indeed green.

That's like asking me to choose between my wife and child. I am wearing my Zims right now, and it's almost impossible to pick against them when they're on. But if any other G denim was going to win out, it would have to be the NIxP. They are just plain special, and mine remain my best-fitting pair of Gustins. If it might help you decide, I just put up some baby fade pics on Imgur. Here's a teaser: You have the Okies already, correct? If so, I would definitely go with the NIxP, especially if you don't have any other denim with a funky weft color. The Okies are a step below the Zims in my book, but it's not a huge step. The NIxP actually start out pretty crispy, but they break in quickly because they're only 10-11oz.

NIXP look good did you wear those daily? Looks pretty substaintial. Thanks. And yeah I wore them a lot. I received them mid-September, and they probably got 45-50 wears by Thanksgiving. Tack on another 12-15 wears since then because December was so unusually warm. They got a gentle hand wash in the tub around a week or two before Christmas because I kept thinking I was going to be putting them away for the winter soon. I never really beat them up, though. At least 90% of the time they were on, I was at the office, driving to work, or just walking around town. So I wore them often, but I didn't wear them hard. If somebody were to subject them to more abuse, I think they'd fade like crazy.

Surprised the Green Black Twill is having trouble funding. It's a sick fabric..

Surprised the Green Black Twill is having trouble funding. It's a sick fabric.. I think its a great looking fabric. I would love to see it in a heavier work shirt version, but not in a button down. Probably better just the same, as I don't need anymore shirts.

Damn fellas, IndigoxPersimmons are calling me!! Ever since I saw Mattbert pics of these back when he first got them I wanted a pair. I will cave in and back these before the day is done. Perfect summer pair for Phx. The lined brown trucker actually looks really cool imo, I am tempted on it also. Damn you GUSTIN.

ickes i agree the lined trucker looks good. the release timing is keeping me away from it...knowing it wouldn't see significant wear until next fall and i'm sure there will be subsequent releases before then (along with real world feedback)

Since I made mine into a vest, I'd have liked to try this, but the timing, as you say, is wrong. I had to wait for the first one, not this one.

I am looking at my spring purchase right now..... (except I bought a pair of boots two days ago out of my own impulsive behavior)

Do some type of lining in the dark oak trucker and I sell mine and back it.

Brown trucker in person is lovely. Pics don't do it justice, IMHO.

If I had a need for something like this I'd buy it, but it still blows my mind how Gustin doesn't release something like this 3-4 months ago, so people can wear it appropriate to the season. It will end up getting worn a time or two, before being put up for the Summer, and pulled out again 8 months from now.

If they offer one up for next Fall, I'd likely try it again...
I asked this on IG - no reply - and it's important. I'm sure I know the answer, but:
"Now, one question for @weargustin: Are you changing the patterns to accommodate for the lining? If not, they will be smaller than the unlined in the same size..."
