Well the reasoning for buying a $50 t-shirt because it's significantly heavier is about the same as reasoning for paying over $100 for a basic t-shirt because it has a fancy design, or is made by a high fashion brand. Both can be justified, but most people, me included, can't. Just for fun that I am able to find one of the t-shirt that I paid more than $100.... haa been sitting at the bottom of my drawer... for more than 10 years.... (it shows) I know it is not exactly the same as the $50 Gustin shirt and it is light weight shirt. However, I think this one may look similar in both texture and fit... It is a sample from my friend's store in Asia with a retail price of $6. If it's not a heavyweight shirt, shouldn't you compare that to their $13 shirt? I'm confused because this comparison doesn't make any sense.

Both can be justified, but most people, me included, can't. No it is not the same. I tried to explain in a separate post but will quote you now. If this was the case then this above equals: "To pay more for heavier jeans/denim w. selvadge is about the same reasoning as paying over $400 for a pair of basic jeans bc they are made by a high fashion brand" And this is not it! Atleast not to me. Im not buying IronHeart because its a brand, Im not buying Gustin, Unbranded, Lawless, Ciano farmer etc because they are a cool brand or has cool design. I can get cheaper jeans then Lawless 5mins from my house. The reason I am buying lawless/gustin/iron heart is mostly because they give me: 1. Superior quality 2. Fabrics that I cant get in the stores 3. I can choose mills/construction etc. and not just get whats on the shelf. Alot more options. The same will go for a heavy t-shirt, it will give me a better item at the same (or slightly higher/lower) price, but since I cant even get the item in the store its also "exotic" and gives me the freedom to use items produced in the way I like, the colors I like, in the country I like and so on and not just get (like a sheep) what is put infront of me. Now there might be a cheaper t-shirt that fits the same and is as heavy at other stores, but the same can be said about belts from Gustin. If you have a login and maybe credit, sometimes you just say "eff it, it looks good enough and is cheaper then any easier option I have" me personally doesnt always vacuum the net to find something cheaper from some unknown site, time is also money.

The past few comments I've made on wanting to back things have been replied to with people talking me OUT of purchasing said items, not IN to like in the past. 2015 must be the year of un-enabling!! Yes, I do have the 18oz LD on the way and yes, alignment might be wonky on the triple indigo. Thanks for helping me save my money @david.

To me, I want to be a more responsible person in 2015. Edit: I went to Gustin site to look at those two items... sorry, spoiled by IH (quality) and LD (value) and don't care either one of them.

ickes the super heavies are one of my favorites. If you are getting LD 18.5 then I would say you are good becuase they are so similar. It would be hard for me not to recommend the super heavies.

Ickes - like Brentkuz, I have the G super heavies and love them. They're like heavy denim sweatpants and a very cool shade of indigo with a tonne of white weft coming through. I am having a weird break-in experience with them though. They stretch nicely after wearing them all-day and then the next day, they're tight again. Weird.

Like jray the super heavies are amazing. Very open weave. No startch. Super soft. Cotton sweatpants like. Noticed fades starting at friction points after 24hrs of wear. One of my favorite G pairs. Just working on my zimbs from September to now. They are my go to.

Ickes - if you have LD's on order in the same fabric (almost), why do you need the G's?

Your truly, The Anti-Enabler because I know what G size I am, I know how they fit me, and I know what will work and look good. This is all still unknown to me with Lawless. I may gey my LD 18oz and realize they don't fit right.

Just hesitated for, oh, nearly two seconds before pouncing on a pair of King Zims in the stock store. Didn't even need you clowns to enable me!

In my anti-enabling defense, I am extremely glad that I resisted the siren song of the Wabisabi WS earlier. If I'd caved on that, it would have been far more difficult to pull the trigger on the Daddy Mithrils.
