I'm really tempted by the Heavy Coffee and the Herringbone, but I haven't gotten any Chinos from Gustin yet, and I won't until I get some from the stock store to make sure that I've got the right size. Nothing sucks more than waiting 8+ weeks for something just to find out that you ordered the right size - it's taken me a bit to figure out my size in their denim, and even then, I'm not 100% confident since their different types of denim sew up differently. There's the Light Khakis on the stock store, but I don't like light colored pants, so here I wait until different colors come up.

My nov/dec chinos are pushed until late dec/early jan. I'm not sure I'm cut out for waiting this long.

That is why I canceled my army herringbone chore coat. That and wasn't sure I would like the fit.
It's a huge issue getting items pushed back like that. It's just a disappointment. These issues are compounded when you wait 2-4 months and then when you open the item there are flaws or some other Qc issue.

I have the green, and caramel Japan twills, and they are very nice. The greens were a 3 month wait, and the caramels were 4 mos. They are definitely more of a slim fit for me, even though they are straights. I probably won't be buying anymore of these, but glad I have these. For knocking around in, I prefer a more relaxed fit, but not baggy. My Ciano Farmer 12oz. duck chinos have shipped, and am anxiously awaiting these, as the pics Ciano posted up on the tread look really good to me.

I ordered slim chinos before and both were under spec and returned. I liked them so I ordered again and am waiting. I bought the brown canvas from stock page and they fit properly for 33 slim but on the low end of ok but I love them. It is surprising because according to the guide they are supposed to be a little looser than their denim.

I went 32 slim (same as my denim) on my brown ducks and they are for sure more fitted. If they were any tighter I would have returned them but they are just right for casual wear from casual with a t shirt and chucks on non denim days right up to a tie and dress shirt on chill business days.
Ordered the army ducks also in 32 slim, waiting and waiting lol. Hopefully they come in the same or slightly larger.
The canvas texture makes the chinos much more versatile imo. I do think the first runs of chinos came in at the tight end of spec or even under spec. Mine were tight end. We shall see on Gustin Chino run V2.0

For my second pair I went from Slim to Straight cause I feel weird with chinos hugging my calves, and the 34 slim chinos (from the first set of runs) fit more like 33 slim jeans, with a bigger waist.

This is terrible news..I went with 34 slim chinos instead of 33 straights. I'm so sad now.

Looked at the fit guides and saw that the chinos in my preferred 35-36 Straight had a ~8-inch drop from thigh to knee compared to a ~6-inch drop in the equivalent size jeans and went...

Don't worry too much yet. The slim chinos are spec'd to be a bit more roomy than the slim jeans of the same size. The straights however are spec'd to be more tapered than jeans of the same size...which is what Mattbert is referring to. If they arrive on spec all should be fine.

Not good I went with 36 slim. This won't be good. You usually wear 37 Slim in their jeans, right? The difference in taper between the slim jeans and the slim chinos is not as great as the difference between the equivalent straights, so you might be okay.

However, my 34 Slim Chinos came in where my 33 slim jeans do, and they still claim the Caramel will ship today, which I've ordered in 34 straight. I have to say, with only one pair, it could be that the first pair came in wrong, and I end up swimming in the 34 straight.

Yes well 36 slim and 37 slim for the tighter fitting pairs. By the numbers 36slim chinos should be the perfect fit. On paper

fwiw I wear a Gustin 32 straight or 33 slim. I probably should order a 33 straight in jeans next.
I have 2 pair of Gustin Chinos in 34 Slim and they fit awesome. Some of the best manufactured clothes I own.

Woohoo! Got a status update that my desert ducks and graphites are done! It says they should start shipping out today. With shipping, customs, etc, I might get them next week sometime.

oops, just read your post @stevekas. So I'm assuming noone has received the Army Green yet based on your post.
Btw, looks like we have similar taste in Chinos. I'm not a Chino type of guy but the Army Green Duck and Brown Duck are two pairs I would consider.
