brentkuz, are the pockets different distances from the buttons? It looks wonky, like you say. Ciano's jeans pockets weren't ideal either, although at least they were centred, but he immediately accepted the problem and corrected it going forward.

I'm not sure where to post this question but as I received this from Lawless and it's not what I ordered I think here is the right place. Does anybody know the name and weight of this denim? I guess it's Candiani and think it's about 11 oz. I wasn't able to find it on the internets but am sure I've seen it before.

it really looks like just a size too small for you. If you had gone up to an XL you would have loved it. Such a same

It's a pretty unique ID. pacificbluedenims.com/index.php?p=vprd&tid=2408

Thanks, that looks pretty much like it. Although the one I got is 100% cotton. But 11 oz. could be true. So it's maybe just the non stretch version of the Candiani Mills Rid-Ticker.

With all the fabric "outages" and swapping going on, I'm not sure any of us are going to be sure of what we get. The denims on my order aren't on the website anymore so I won't be able to compare what I get to the swatches that were once on the website. Someone else said it's kind of like the Gustin grab bag. So true.

tim: when you say the (supposedly) Candiani 11oz is not what you ordererd, is at least the color & weight somewhat next to what you actually did order?

I messaged Kahla through the site about fabric outages on jeans after I was informed the fabric for my jacket would not be available.
No response so far after about a week. I suppose I could call. She probably didn't know what she was stepping into. Just needed a job I suppose.

They stated they fired the fabric swapper. How long until we should expect them to start contacting customers about what fabric they'd like to replace their old orders with?

bigblack size wise it's not horrible. My camera is busted so I had to has the iphone front camera. That's my bending over while the phone is on the counter. The pockets are off by .6" and yes it looks wonky There are also 8 total snaps compared to my iron heart 33 having 7. The last button near the hem looks out of place and very odd.

The picture makes it look uncomfortably tight like a compression shirt

I don't recall seeing that selvedge ID on Lawless's site before, and it isn't there now. That doesn't mean that it was never offered on the site, but I'm guessing that the chances are high that it wasn't on the site, so tim couldn't have ordered it. Which, automatically makes it the wrong fabric. But, that's all semantics. The fabric itself looks pretty nice and that ID is awesome. I'm not sure if it's an acceptable substitution for what was actually ordered, but that's up to tim to determine.

I bet if you took one or both of the pockets off it might look better, but those forearms are most definitely not fitting you. It's too bad, cause this is a really cool fabric.

I guess everyone knows what he ordered. I ordered 13.5 oz Candiani selvedge, which is a dark indigo denim with a classic red id. I received light indigo 11 oz. Candiani selvedge.

I actually like that color. I remember them having it in that weight and I was so close making a shirt from it. It would be an awesone cowboy shirt for shure. The 13 oz on the site might not be color acurate and I imagine them actually being kinda close irl?
Im not saying you should be happy with what you got, I cant wear jeans under 13oz so I would send them back, im just saying it looks pretty sweet in color.

Candiani selvedge. well, in the LD world customers are required to make quite a step into meekness ... look at the positive: 1. at least you received SOMETHING .... a lot of us are still Waiting for Godot 2. it's at least in the ball park (in LD standards): ordered trousers - received trousers, ordered Italian fabric received Italian fabric, ordered lightweight received even lighter weight, ordered indigo received indigo (maybe not same hue, but com'on) have you never ordered a Ferrari? if so, you would know .....

Forearms are tight. At least it's a light fabric and it doesn't cut off my circulation.
I asked lawless for a refund or a new shirt or I would be seeking a reversal from my bank. All I got in return to that was "I look forward to seeing the papers" - lawless.
Stay classy Phoenix.
