Therefore, I would like to take Roman's generosity and pay it forward by offering these jeans to anyone on the forum here who thinks the fit will suit you well. First come, first served. And if you're in the CONUS, I'll take care of the shipping so you get 'em free just like I did. If the offer still stands, I would take you up on this. I've ordered a couple of pairs in the 35 straight, but have been a little concerned that the waist might be too tight. Also, I've been wanting to try out the slims, but haven't been able to work up the nerve. What makes you worried about the waist? What sz do you wear in Gustin or any other brands

derek G; no experience with Yelp at all. It's useless to me quite honestly, but to others it'sthe first place they turn so that is a very nice gesture to post an honest, positive Lawless review. Good work Derek, I hope it gets posted Thanks Matt, I don't use yelp either. But seeing as everyone seems to reference the reviews, and I feel Lawless has gotten a raw deal there, figured I throw my 2 cents in over there. I put a lot of thought into the post, so hope they put it up. If not, I'll try it again. I just feel that Roman deserves it. I went ahead and set up a Yelp account in preparation for a review. I figure I'll review a couple of other places so that there's a track record and I'll know the routine by the time i'm ready to post a LD review. It's funny . . . I've been in IT my entire professional career, and I've never used Yelp.

Haha. He moved like the wind! Probably for the best--I have my work cut out for me just with the pairs I have in the works.

What makes you worried about the waist? What sz do you wear in Gustin or any other brands Despite all of the excellent advice here on sizing, it still seems to be a little like alchemy to me. My waist measures between 36.5 and 37, and yet the two pairs of Gustins I have were 33's. Those came in as significantly different sizes, both snug, but eventually stretched to fit nicely. So the recommendation seems to be to go off of one's actual measurements, but that seems a big jump from a G33 to a LD36. I split the difference and went with a 35. So, alchemy... I think the 35's are where I need to be, but uncertainty is the nature of the game.

I think the 35's are where I need to be, but uncertainty is the nature of the game. If you can fit a G 33 (33.5) and ur waist measures 36.6 , that means u are likely skinny I mean I could realistically deal with a tight waist especially after they stretched but its the rest of the jean that would prevent me from doing it. Another thing I could do the Gustin 36 slim which i tried but the legs were to slim for my liking so I had to go 36 straight. Right now people will figure out what they can and cant do with Lawless just like any other brand. TBH when I bought the Gustin slims I for whatever reason ignored the signs they would be bad for my personal preference and had nothing to do with them having a bad fit

I'm starting to think I must be the only dude here who wears pants that are his actual waist size. Either that, or you guys are all built like this.

I don't buy my pants with the intentions of stretching them. Just sounds crazy to me. That's NOT how clothing works, but it's one of those denim cult "rules" that people live by despite their better judgements.

I'm starting to think I must be the only dude here who wears pants that are his actual waist size. Either that, or you guys are all built like this. The thought with raw is that you're going to wash them infrequently, so they're going to stretch a bit. Gustin 33 slims fit me, but Gustin doesn't use a real waist measurement, and their method of measuring doesn't represent one. If I ordered 35 in Gustin, I wouldn't be able to keep them on, as I can barely keep the 34 slim on. After wear they seem to get to about 34.5 in the Gustin method of sizing. I might be totally wrong sizing my ld up to 35, but I'd rather be wrong and be able to wash and wear than wrong and unable. So I don't buy pants in my waist size typically -- never bought clothing that wasn't vanity sized -- but that doesn't mean I'm buying pants that don't fit my waist.

Hey! I said I'd post some pics of the Lawless jeans today, didn't I? Well, then. Prepare yourselves. These were taken outdoors, in late morning light but not direct sun. Minimal color correction done afterwards. We'll start with a standard overview of the back. As you can see, the jeans are blue and have pockets. The stitching is done with yellowish-orange thread of some kind, and it's pretty straight and tidy for the most part. This is what holds the pockets and the belt loops and the leather patch (more on that in a moment) to the rest of the jean. None of those bits fell off while I was taking these pictures, so full marks there. The leather patch is reddish brown, and it has a picture of a lady holding one of those sweet ninja swords. Next up is the front...and then the back again. I just can't get enough of the sword lady. I think she might be naked! On the front, you might notice the two lines of stitching along the right-hand pocket are closer together than the two along the left-hand pocket. If this really bothers you a lot, you are probably kind of an asshole and you might want to evaluate why you're choosing to wear jeans all the time instead of an Armani suit with a comma in the price tag. By the way, a bunch of that other stitching that looks a little wonky? It isn't. I just didn't lay the jeans perfectly flat when I took these pictures. Sorry. To make up for it, uh, check out those double belt loops! It's cool that they don't immediately mean I got the wrong size. Oh, hey, what's up sword lady? Lookin' good. Here we have some closeups of the hardware and the inside fly detail. The hardware is black copper, giving these jeans the somewhat less intimidating "voluntary manslaughterd out" look. The fly has holes for each of the buttons. Nice. It also has some hoity-toity stitching along the edge called clamshell stitching. This is totally lame. I mean, hello? The clamshell technology is so 2005. Modern jeans should have a smartfly; I don't even know what to do with a pair of pants that doesn't let me read and respond to emails and tweets with my genitals. Get with the times, Roman. Come on. Last up is the pimpin' orange and white selvedge. Everyone knows you're a bad man when you rock up with a little bit of creamsicle peeking out of your pocket and your cuffs. Hell yeah. Anyone tells you different, you just say, "You know why I got double chain-stitched hems on these mothers? No? It's so I can use one of them to choke your dumb ass and not f!@k up my roping." Then drop the mic. Served.

Nice looking pair of Lawless jeans Mattbert. What do you think of the double chainstitch hem? It's totally personal preference, but I'm not a big fan of it. All in all, they look great though.

I like it more than I thought I would, but I wouldn't select it as the preferred option over a single chain hem on any of my jeans. Well, hang on. If I was buying a pair of jeans, or more likely some denim or heavy canvas chinos, that I planned to use primarily as rough and tumble work pants then I would definitely consider the double chain hem for added durability.

I don't know if seeing it and processing it in the context of the whole jeans makes a difference compared to just seeing a photo of it on its own or what. But it's like night and day. IMO, the double also looks much better uncuffed.

Ok, Like the way Mattbert jeans came out. 1st look they look crisp with some cool details. The fan stitch looks to be getting done a lot better than on the earlier jeans iv seen. I do see a few hiccups that arent anything I would complain about BUT Roman and I have discussed a few things you guys have noticed as well as us. Gotta try to tighten up a bit but nothing absolutely crazy. I do want you guys to continue to point out anything you believe we are slacking on. All in all I am happy with what we have seen so far. I think it should get better considering how Roman can basically walk over to whomever and say "hey this needs to be tightened up"

Ftw??? What an absolute and utter DOUCHÉBAG! I read through a sh*t ton of his comments, and this guy is obviously just a rude, insatiable, out of touch with reality, Grade-A, d*ckhole.

Omg....I can see this guy causing a lot of headaches down the road....I'd just refund his pledge, block his IP from the new site(if that's possible), and wash my hands of this one.
