Regarding the custom pattern, how does that apply to the Montana Pocket Shirt or Oiled Canvas Cruiser Jacket? Both are $198, which is more than the cost of the custom pattern. If you purchase one of those, do you automatically get the custom pattern option? It's an additional charge on top of whatever you purchase, as I understand it.

Yes, it is the cost of the item plus the cost of the pattern for the first custom item. All subsequent custom items are just the cost of the item. So it is a one time fee for the pattern.

The custom pattern has nothing to do with anything else but an actual pattern being made.

WHen we come up with a design a pattern maker has to actually sit there and figure out every measurement for each size. When it took us i think a week to get the woman measurements up that was because the pattern maker had to sit and figure all that out. Making a pattern is not as simple as you may think. The pattern cost more than most the items we sell because its more work than sewing. A pattern maker is like the surgeon and the sewers are like the nurse. So when a person wants his or her exact body measurements on a garment, that measn the pattern maker steps away from his or her daily routine of sewing to make the pattern. Its a lot of time and money to do it
Good example was when Ande Whall had a fire in his shop. All his jean and jacket patterns were lost. He had to go redesign all his patterns which took him a long time to get back up. Its the most crucial part of any designer and how we come up with a good fit.

You should have an offsite backup for sure.

You should have an offsite backup for sure. Yeah I would have thought so as well but Ande literally lost everything. I remeber when it happened and what it did to him. But yes back that shit up

Ok I have been trying to get a handle on where we are with production. We seem to be a week behind on orders. I am booking a trip to the shop this week to get a handle on where we are. So far from what Roman has alerted me to we are about 7 to 10 days behind. Nothing to be to alarmed about other than a bit more of a wait which we are working to fix. We just purchased a very detail oriented scan system that will help keep you guys informed as well as keep us in order. This new system needed to be tweaked because it is meant for much larger factories with a lot more output. It is priced higher than we really wanted it to be but it was needed. Roman and team have been going thru a bit of training for it which is partially the reason for the delay on production. The plan is for me to get to the shop and catch up with that as well as add some man power there. Either way things are moving well but with a bit of a delay imminent. I am here so please feel free to ask questions. Also I have been trying to get everyone to begin using the order message capabilities. Some are def starting to make that transition which is a big help. It really helps keep our info email clean so we can keep track of what is coming in there. We had a recent incident where a customers email from Sept went unanswered. Anyone that knows how quick I handle the message system knows everything on there is easy to get done and keep track of but the info email gets bombarded with 100's upon 100's of emails and its easy to get lost in there. I even told Roman to disable the ability for customers to respond back to their order confirmations to help keep it clean. I also want to thank all of you for helping us out. Many of you help manage the Lawless threads for us by answering questions by customers who need help. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Dirty_Denim, so when would you expect orders made in mid October be shipped out? (Ball park estimate).

DD, thanks for the update. Could you maybe provide us with a ballpark for orders... Kickstarter, Pre-website, Post-launch? That would be helpful for all.

Dirty_Denim, so when would you expect orders made in mid October be shipped out? (Ball park estimate). Those are the orders that are a bit delayed. So early Oct orders should have been done and shipped but those are going out this week and being completed as well. That is what I know so far. I think its likely no worse than the 7 to 10 days I figured they are but we will dig in this week and next to try and get even a few days caught up. If we can pickup 1 or 2 days that we lost this week and do the same next week that will help get us back to within a few days of being on time. This is just a bad time with the holidays so I kind of was expecting it

(I do not envy you guys having to figure out all the logistics and answer our questions).

KS orders I have no knowledge of because I dont have access to those orders. I leave that up to Roman & Laura. I will get an update on everything that is late and try to get everyone (not specifically everyone) but order dates and where they are in production this week. I will fly to AZ on Weds and be there for a week so give me until the end of this week to dive into the books

I bought my GF the full custom pattern and a pair of 12oz skinny Candiani H Bones.....partially for selfish reasons Don't have my KS stuff yet but I have confidence in the team to nail it and it's better for everyone if the LD team chilled and had some Turkey and sleep over the holiday.

@stevekas, yeah I was thinking of creating a new thread to move some of the posts to but was having a bit of a challenge thinking of a title that would encompass all of them. The first title that came to my mind was "Questions for Dirty_Denim"...lol. then again, I don't want to pile more work on Dirty D's plate.

Got my first pair of LD & Co jeans. I got the Tan x Tan with brass hardware, honey wheat thread, yellow canvas pocket liners, classic pockets all around, Katanna 2 patch in 34 waist and 33 inseam. They showed up at work (wife does not need to see all the packages) on Wednesday while I was off and so I found them on my desk this morning. I received no shipping confirmation or tracking info for this package. So far the measurements look to be spot on, but I haven't been able to try them on yet (I'll do that as soon as I get home). So until then here are some quick pics. A couple of things: not sure why the fan stitch detail is not in the same thread as the rest of the jean and the yellow canvas pocket liners do not seem very yellow to me (look more like natural canvas than yellow). Interesting color. Not at all what I expected but I think I like it. I have these coming in the chinos.

I like the thread color on those.
I really do not know for sure about the clam stitch coming in a differnt color but i feel like iv seen it done in the same 1 or 2 colors for each jean. I'll find out for sure

gusjin OS order number 11596. stinky since this is my first pair I have no way of knowing. Back pocket is exactly deep enough to hold an iPhone 5s. Dirty_Denim I can imagine it would be a real PITA to switch thread on the fan stitching machine for every pair. I am more interested to find out if these are the yellow canvas pocket bags or the natural.
