I know this question has been thrown out to the general Gustin universe - but to this group, those denim opinion matters (to me at least) - what's your favorite pair of G's and why?
Is it a weight thing? Texture? Color? How they break in? The pair that gets all the compliments?
I've been giving a lot of thought to this. At the moment, I would give the nod to my Japan Standards. Great coloring, average weight (12.5 oz.) but getting the best fades through breaking in thus far. My American Sixteeners are close to regaining the top spot, but I shipped them off to AB Fits for hemming last week.

Man, this is a tough one. It's usually the ones I have on here now. That sounds like a corny copout, but really, it's kinda true. Ones that stick out for me though at this point (subject to change when it's colder) are the SuperHeavy. Weight, softness, big white weft pops through. Just gets me where it counts. But a friend came over and she's a G-Unit fan/owner, and she was in love with the Beasts. Was amazed that I was already getting fades, etc.
So, well, there's my wishy-washy answer Matty.

I only have the oke's and italian greenlines as well as greyxblacks with super heavies on the way. Out of the 3, I like the oke's because they're crispy. I'm thinking of backing the american sixteeners - take you really like them?

I only have four pairs (Grey Silks, True Blue Silk, Black x Black and Natural Indigo 2). I probably pick the wrong one and really don't love anyone of them. I don't dislike them but definitely not as passionate toward my old pairs of LVC 501, RRL slim fit and Lee 101z. Nothing cool about the fabric and the style of those old jeans... maybe more an appreciation of the traditional and heritage of those brands.

It's usually the ones I have on here now. i'm the same...each pair 'becomes' my favorite by the end of a day of wearing them. but...after a day or two of not wearing any G denim, i lean towards my okayamas. |

Exactly. I wore my Black 2s today and they were my favorite for today. such a beautiful pair of Black denim. I then threw on my Downtown Browns tonight after an intense hot soak last night and it worked wonders. they shrunk up perfectly and right now they're my favorite pair....lol....they fit so effin great right now where they were a tad baggy pre soak. A hot soak can work wonders for a pair that's a touch too big. So yeah...it's just too hard to pick an overall fave

wore The Japan Summers all weekend and today...why? They're my only fitting pair of Gs right now. Hahahaha - but I do like them. Really glad I found you band of denim pushers and this company that brings a variety of denim options to us.

Right now it's my Black 2. So comfortable right out of the gate. I wanted to say the beasts are my favorite, but they are still a bit of a chore to wear.

Honestly, my Supple16s.
The weft of these badboys is almost green- not quite, but definitely tinted in color and I love the way it looks cuffed. And the color of the warp is an strong, inky blue that really makes the red chain-stitching pop and the fades come through. I was disappointed when my American 16's ran short in the batch and they swapped them out for these- but as soon as I got them, I've loved them!

I have used self control and only have 3 pairs - Zimbs, The Dark and American WideID. The Zimbs are some of my favorite pants I own. I just did my first wash on them last night and already have some pretty wicked fading going on. I'll have to post up some pictures later on.

Okayamas. I've been wearing them for a while and they're very comfortable. The denim has a great look to it - dynamic and not boring. Cool ID.
It looks like, as of today, they are back in the store. If they stick around until I can try my Bright Wefts in 35 Slim I'll probably order a second pair.

It seems like every new pair you get want to become the favorite. Now that the weather has cooled, I am wearing the Beasts mostly, and appreciate the warmth these give. So I would say they are my favorite, for the time being.
