Not sure what others' experience is, but the waists seem to come in just under spec and there isn't much stretch at all.
I wear mine without a belt and they fit great. One of my favorite pairs of pants.

One of my favorite pairs of pants. I never measured but that sounds about right. I never wear a belt with mine either. One of my favorites as well, but if I was doing customs on the pattern I would take a little bit out of the RR as they are slightly baggy back there.

To wake up an old post does anyone with the prior Bravestar grey chino run experince shrinkage ? I’m between sizes and I’d like to shrink a bit and hot wash and dry regularly ...
Thanks

Thanks I have probably washed my grey chino's from B* about 5 or 6 times and the answer is NO. Size down if you want smaller. Thanks for the reminder, I just ordered my 2nd pair of khaki. Probably my favorite pair of pants. Only thing I would change is reduce the back rise a bit as it is slightly a grandpa butt fit, but super comfortable. Buy 'em before they run out of cloth. Best deal in pants I've found.

Thanks for the reply. I need a 36 true size.
I have a 34 tagged pair right now and they are fantastic but the are a drop too large in the waist. However I’ve never machine dried them. So now worried if I size down they will come in too tight, as I have not experienced any stretch in the khaki colored pair.
Funny I like, the high rise lol

I got an email about their California crew tees. Does anyone have them ? Opinions ? I've got one, pretty decent actually. Not my favorite but not bad by any means. It just all boils down to if the fit works for you. The only reason I don't rate them higher is cause there are a few brands that fit me a bit better.

Boxier/Slimmer ? Shoulder room ? Length ?

Actually they are very similar in fit. If you like the 3sixteen fit I think you'll like the Bravestar. This is comparing a L to a L...didn't actually take measurements but yes, very similar fit.

Bravestars might be a tad shorter.

Well, I finally busted my Bravestar cherry. I backed the return of the Steadfast... Steadfast Pre-order For some time, I had been coveting the IH-101J. But, a number of things kept me from buying in. The Steadfast alleviates all of the issues I had.

I felt I would have to sell my SC 1953 type II, first, if I wanted to get the 101J. I can keep both the Bravestar and Sugar Cane, at less cost, this way. Although, I may still unload one of them, anyway. Decisions, decisions...

Just ordered the chinos in green. I didn’t realize they were offered in green until I got an email today. Ordered them this morning and got a shipping notification this afternoon. I have the Cramerton khaki chino and I think they’re great.

The green chinos are great. I did wash them to get a bit of the shine off the fabric and shrink them just a bit. Like an idiot, I didn't turn them inside out, so now there are very faint whitish lines running vertically down one leg. It's not terrible, and I think I'll just live with it...it's just annoying, especially since I should have just turned them inside out. Oh, well. I've looked online. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix this, I don't think. Maybe email Mik to see if he has any ideas? Other than my own stupidity, they're great. I love the cut on these. And only $106 with shipping!

The green chinos are great. Do you have any photos by any chance, as site doesn't have any to see what the real colour really are?

Aren't they Cramerton? Same as Epaulet? The Bravestar chinos are selvedge. It doesn't look like the Epaulet ones are selvedge (that looks like a herringbone trim sewn over the seam, like CF does on his canvas chinos). I don't know about Cramerton. That mill is shut down as far as I know. The Bravestar site does not advertise the military green as a Cramerton twill. The Bravestar website did advertise the khaki twill chino as Cramerton at the time I bought those a couple of years ago.

The outer seam is indeed taped with a herringbone trim.

I have two pair and when in stock I received them in less than a week after ordering. I don't think they are made to order like CF. Mik (the owner) is very responsive to emails if you want to reach out.

Both the sluboxious and the double black jean jacket are out of stock in XXXL's. Dangit. Their Regular Taper is my favorite jean cut I own. And the Chinos are a constant companion.

Got my gray chinos in. Fabric is really nice, smooth hand, tight weave, not to heavy or light, good construction... But the cut is on the wider/bigger size. More of a work wear and not a slimmer cut.
