Can someone comment of how much the Cramerton stretch with ware? I assume its not as much as denim. Also do they shrink much once washed. Just trying to pin down my size. I like the overall measurements of the the 33 best but the waist is a bit on the small side compared to my other pants. Thanks. Buy tts. Mine have not stretched or shrank.

From the campaign:
What Is Cramerton Army Cloth?
Cramerton’s famous 8.8oz “Army khaki” was first manufactured in 1929. Major Stuart W. Cramer, Jr. an officer in the US Army strongly influenced the decision to develop an improved fabric for military uniforms. Developed out of necessity after the failure of the “doughboy” uniforms used by the military in World War I, Cramerton Army Cloth became the standard basic uniform cloth throughout the armed forces. This fabric saw service through World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
At the beginning of World War II, Cramer voluntarily released the technical know-how to allow other producers to duplicate his fabric as “Cramerton Army Cloth”. It is still being produced in South Carolina by the original mill.

Picked up a pair of the standard khaki. Couldn't decide on the coal color. May wait and see what this first one looks like before trying those.

Got one of their sherpa lined trucker jackets, but it doesn't seem to have an interior pocket listed in the description. Kind of false advertising there.

I received my black Cramerton Chino's yesterday.
I noticed they were about 3/4 longer and about 3/8 wider and super smooth with the hand-feel and the drape.
So I did a hot side of warm soak in the tub till the water cooled then a medium dry. That tightened up the weave so they matched my other pair which are standard khaki Cramertons and have been washed 2x. It also fixed the drape.
I can't recommend these enough and look forward to insta-copping the green pair when they release them. That Cramerton fabric is just so comfortable.

received mine too! have them on this morning and they feel great.
The fit is pretty close to spec, the waist may be just a little under. I'm scared to wash or soak these because any shrink in the waist will make them too small. What's your opinion on the fabric, does it have any stretch? I'm currently wearing them without a belt and they're fine, but wondering if i should have gone with a 32 so that i could wash and not worry about it...

Just do a cold wash and you will be fine.

I'm about to place an order for the new slim tapered that they have in the pre-order section. 13.5 oz should be good for the summer.

Anyone knows if Mik is on duty atm? Sent him a message (email) with a new request for his IRONSIDE jacket ... no answer as of yet. I do own the jacket in 16.5oz already but choosed the wrong size ... so I will order again if Mik gives green light.

I noticed last shipment from them they included detail return instructions with the packaging. I'm not sure if it's on the website atm.

Try emailing the returns department. returns@bravestarselvage.com . I received much faster feedback from that email as opposed to Mik's direct email address.

Received my exchanged pair of chinos. Starting to think these might have all come in under spec. These are 32 and supposed to measure 17.25". But they're coming in more like 16.875", which is just over the posted 31 measurements.
They fit a little better, but still worried about future shrinkage. But I'm tired of paying to ship back.

My experience with twill and duck chinos is that they don't really stretch or shrink like jeans. I don't have any Cramertons, so I could be totally wrong.

That's a relief. I just know every other chino, albeit from JCF, BR, etc., have started out at a nice 34L and shrunk to under 32 after multiple washes

Thought we were only talking waist/thigh/cuff. Yeah, length is a bitch and always seems to shrink. A little of it comes back with a steam/iron, but yeah, at least an inch seems to vanish over time. One reason i try to wait at least six months before hemming any pants.

Anyone have any thoughts about the 10oz preorder. They look nice in the pics but I just can't seem to visualize what a grey weft would look like in person and down the road a bit
Also if anyone has any experience with the 13.5 Japanese organic please let me know. Someone on Reddit indicated they had a touch of spandex. Which may be heresy to some but I'd like to have one stretch for my rotation

I really like the color and only have 2 light pairs. I'd also like to see if the slims straight fit works for me in Bravestar Jeans. I have been waiting for them to re release some in slim taper but have a suspicion they have been having issues with those. Just guessing since I have not seen them offered in some time. bravestarselvage.com/products/the-slim-straight-11-5oz-cone-mills-selvage?variant=28107660037

^ no I think it's darker due to the gray weft and I prefer that. I also like the tonal stitching.

It's subtle yet noticeable. I'm not a fan of crazy colored wefts but grey and natural/tan wefts give the Indigo some subtle character and a nice shade to the indigo.
