@untucked glad you mentioned the skyblue was shiny. i was thinking how much better it looks in your photo than the G photos and started wondering when it might re-appear. a sheen is enough to keep me away. It's really so shiny it could be mistaken for silk

The double-dip, Natural and the striped looks really good. And the red could be nice aswell. I wish I had them Any QC-issues at all?

I've begun to expand my chambray collection - I began with the double-dip indigo from Gustin. One soak early on (it turned my office desk blue from the inkiness of the shirt) and I'm loving the character of the shirt as it wears in. It's much softer now (felt more starchy at first). By comparison, I have a jcrew chambray as well - lighter weight (3 oz. compared to 4 oz.) and a really nice crosshatching texture. The slim fit has a very comparable look to the Gustin offering.
I think my next option will be to try the 9.5 oz. Italian chambray from Lawless. I greyish-blue coloring and think it will break-in beautifully. The Gustin offering this week (7 oz.) looks tempting as well, but I think I'm holding out their until they bring back a red chambray.

Thanks, your photo confirms that I do indeed need to track down the Heavy Indigo and Skyblue Selvedge shirts. A majority of my shirts, chambray or not, are more of a blacker or greyscale tone (especially the blues), so I'm always eager to pick up a nice brighter / lighter blue option.

I can't recommend the crosshatch enough if/when it comes up again. It's so freaking soft, I want a blanket made out of the same fabric.

You don't like it? I'm really waiting on a super heavy chambray and flannel. Time will tell.

It looks ridiculous on me, as you can see and definitely not premium quality as they saying to us. It design for slim stretch up people aka ecthomorps like Cody and co. It's M size, the collar definitely not 15.5'' I suppose it's less then 15'', it suffocate me, never have shirt with collar like this. They missing a inch in chest and this too snug and strange in chest. Sleeves long for me Lenght too long for me and cause of it scoops looks even more ridiculous. And air bulb at the back (don't you see it?), soooo odd.

I see the bad figment issue on the backside, that is certainly quite strange. I don't personally button my top buttons, but on my mediums I'm able to close it. G's small shirt fits me standing straight, but is a but too short (can't stay tucked in) & the top button has no hopes of closing. I wear G's medium, which allows me to actually move unhindered in the garment & stays tucked. I just have to keep the wrists buttoned on the slimmer of the two positions to avoid the sleeves looking too long and it's fine.
If your shirt is out of tolerance for two measurement specs and even a whole inch out of spec for a single measurement, I'd say you should have been able to return or exchange it.

To me this is just another case of the shirt guides being complete inaccurate. My advice is and has been to measure your best fitting shirts, match it to the G fit guide, and then go up one size. G really needs to fix their shirt fit guides.

I have bought close to 20 shirts from Gustin, and every single one has fit the exact same. And the Summer Navy Chambray is definitely one of my favorites.

The Heavy Indigo Chambray is the most substantial shirt I own by Gustin. That is 6oz? I want another 7.5oz non-slubby nep chambray. It's certainly not the heaviest, but it wears like a straitjacket.

It almost looks like the two panels on that one side were twisted while sewing on the yoke. It'd be interesting to see what the seam running down the side looks like. I would probably return such a thing, but doing so wouldn't mean international shipping for me. If I were international and that happened on my first go, I doubt I'd order again.

We all know it May I know what shirt size in numbers, like 16/33 or ... do you buy? But honestly I don't know how devastitis and untucked enjoying these shirts, they not for normal people, at least not for me. I don't want play in G lottery, not with jeans, not with shirts. G stuff don't have stable guarantee quality, all my hopes in Lawless.

They fit me very well, and consistently.

Yea that looks like a nightgown. I wouldnt mind it for work where tucking can be utilized but you lose value when you can't leave it out for a casual look...DUD for me

They fit me very well, and consistently. I'm 5'10" and 155-160lb (70kg), and I wear Gustin mediums with a wonderful fit. If/when I finally try one of their work shirts, it will the a medium-slim. For further reference, I wear a 32 slim in Gustin denim, 31 in Gustin chinos, and 30-32 in non-Gustin bottoms. In J.crew, I wear a small (typically slim option) buttondown and can often not button the top button, a medium in J.crew tees (also prefer slim), and am between sm/med in J.crew outerwear. I do not wear suiting or dress shirting, so I cannot tell you what my actual measurements are for sizing. All of my shirts are typically 19.5-21" range across the chest, but I prefer 19.5-20" for most. Much like devastasis, my Gustin shirts are quite uniform in fit and I don't seem to have any duds that fell through QC cracks. I like the fit and consistency enough to continue ordering medium shirts from them.

5'8" 175lbs,and medium fits me just fine. I don't wear them formally but casually, so I don't need to be able to button them all the way, which I can't. I have a 16" neck, so that's not an option, but also not an issue.

Who here threw down on the indigo plant dye chambray? I didn't get to back it before it went fully funded (stayed on the fence too long) but I'm definitely interested to hear about it or see pics now that people have them in hand!

Wonky measurements are what's stopping me from backing directly on Gustin. Rather wait for some workshirts to pop on WTS with exact measurements. Hopefully they fix that QC issues

I've luckily had no issues with QC on my pants and shirts from Gustin. Sadly, though, I seem to be among the most common/popular shirt sizes as a medium. All of the past campaign shirts I'd wished I'd backed never pop up second hand (linen, slub & nep chambrays) for me, or not for very long at least.

My chambrays have all been Size L, and only one has had any issues. There were some serious QC issues with the rainbow neps indigo chambray I received last week.

I'm a bit surprised to see that the work shirt thread is FIFTY FIVE pages long while this one is only two (though most Gustin product pages haven't broken 10 pages). Considering I rarely, if ever, see G chambrays up for sale second hand via various outlets; I'd think the chambrays would be a more popular topic. Maybe we just like our chambrays so much that we don't want to talk about it, thus protecting our own chances to buy/back more of them with less competition? Mostly kidding, obviously.
Since starting the thread, I've sold all my non-chambray G shirts, which were just a couple flannels and oxfords. I keep seeing more and more posts on forums and on IG that are bashing the QC and fit of Gustin's shirts, yet again, I still never really see many of them up on the secondary market. Assuming a majority of the rejects (mismatched matterns, bad sew job, wrong fit / out of spec) get returned or exchanged, I'm guessing that people of a certain body type are indeed fond of the shirts & fit, and are just keeping their mouths shut?
