The general tone of this thread and some of the others on the board recently seems to have taken a turn for the worse. (okay . . . pot. kettle. black., but the last several days on the forum have been downers . . . G t-shirs, LD orders, veg-tan patches, loomies, DD morphing into "sal the employee"--where did the gustinfriends joy go?) Yeah, probably the stress of the holidays. I know I should be all giddy and stuff, but I'm just not as I'm behind on a lot of things and haven't had time to prep for the Xmas break and shop, etc. We really should try to be nicer here. We all have the same interests after all. So I'll promise to do my part. HOHOHO! -Grinch.

All the above comments are exactly why I put my trust in Santa Clause, and not a vendor. I think most of the frustrations, are that there are a couple folks that got some stuff from LD, which whom I'm truly happy for, but most have not, and are tired of the waiting and spin on things. If what I was told was true, I'd have my stuff, and be halfway broken in. I would hope that ALL efforts from LD are concentrating on KS, and old site orders, to put this to bed for good, and move on from here, but until that happens, there are going to be pissed off folks.

Well..look at Aero leathers. They are one of the top 3 best leather-jacket makers in the world. You and me order at the same time and mine can get to me 2-4 months faster then yours. I believe DD when he says that different people are doing different things, and that different orders take shorter or longer. Aero has specialists working on different kinds of leahter. They have 2 working on sheepskin for example, and maybe its not sheepskin season, so if I get an Irvin and you get a Highwayman, mine could come at double speed since they are free.
I also used to be a head-chef and the orders can be completely nuts with some being a 6-person table and they have all choosen different things, another one could be 3 burgers, and the last one a sallad. Now if the sallad was also on the first order I would make 2 sallads and the burger guys would see this person being served before them and always complain. Trust me, you cant have it as streamlined black/white as you think, it is just caos. Also some people order with this and without that plus extra something else. You have no idea how many coffeys and desserts we had to give on the house just because of this. And its redicolous, im not gonna stand and watch a pizza being ready or a fishsoup boil if I can make a fast sallad while waiting. But yes sometimes the chicken for the sallad has run out and this time you have to wait 15 minutes for the sallad you got in 2 mins last time.
Im not saying it is the same with LD, I havent been there, but if it is it wouldnt surprise me. I basically look at piles of clotes on the Instagram of both DD and LD and see that they are working, its flowing, its gonna be here - relax, look at the x-mas tree, read and play with your kids, life is chaos, and the secret of life is to enjoy the chaos and passage of time (and its also the number 42). Merry x-mas everyone!!!!

Exactly, Griffin. We've been through the jacket thing together - as have a few others here. It's a MUCH more expensive endeavor, with very long waits and a lot of emails to get what we hope ends up being a great jacket. It's not always the case, and the number of variables is insane. I think that if some of the guys here went for a bespoke leather jacket and went through some real grief, they'd feel a lot better about some of the KS folks. Merry Christmas!

That's my western shirt in candiani on the LD Instagram today! Laura also left me a nice voicemail confirming shipment of the shirt and pants. All may be forgiven here in 2 days.

Ok guys, I knew this would happen. As soon as I start to complain in the forum, which I promised myself NEVER to do, I receive shipping notice next day (today). This is for my indigo brown wefts ordered oct. 2nd order #11600. So I apologize for being a whiner. By my calc, LD is approximately 2'ish weeks behind on stuff from the old site based on my order.
Happy holidays!
SORRY SAL!

I saw that Candiani N-Gine shirt this morning. It's beautiful, but the fabric doesn't look much like the swatch on the website, which is much lighter. I've ordered a shirt in the N-Gine on the basis of it being that much lighter. I thought I wanted a light-coloured shirt, but that fabric is really something..

Honestly that shirt looks as clean as you can get. It looks so damn crispy. I passed on the NGINE for the same reason most did. The swatch was not a good indicator of what it really is. Im goona put it up again if I can find some to move around
Trust me guys. I am sorry you are all anxious and we have pushed and pushed your dates back. I really wish things could have gone a bit smoother for those who are still waiting

I think the last thing we all want is for the quality to suffer due to a rush to get stuff out. Don't mind a few extra weeks

Quick question for the mods...why are some people called out when they post one simple polite question about their order, and some are allowed to rant on and on without a word?

Quick question for the mods...why are some people called out when they post one simple polite question about their order, and some are allowed to rant on and on without a word? Simple. We don't live here. We get tired of posting the same thing. At some point, we'll just delete them and that might make everyone happy. There simply isn't the time to spend here doing that. If everyone just took care of their orders with the vendors, we'd have no issues. So, if you guys continue to post up questions about your orders here, don't be surprised if they just go POOF.

What if I inquire about my unicorn fabric lined jeans with pink thread? Will that get deleted? Here's the way I see it, If you were having a birthday and I came early and I started eating your cake and maybe I opened up all your presents and started playing with your toys, you'd be OK with that? Or what if you had a root canal and I asked you to gargle with raw sewage. Would you be OK with that? Or would it be safe to jump rope with a live electrical wire? No...
