I dont dig it. Don't like the pockets at all. I will definitely pass on that. On some clothing you have to think function over forum. I can see why you may not like it. What I see is, 30degrees and shoveling light snow. Good place to put your hands or gloves. I think it'll look good in some of that waxed English fabric Romans got.

Not sure about that one either. I think something between this style and Roman's style could have potential, but this thing doesn't really flow with Roman's clean lines. It has some promising elements that could be productive, but it's pushing the envelope a little. The beauty of being at the shop is being able to capture those visions and not necessarily duplicating another vision (since this one is technically taken already ). I'm excited to see your creations when you get here!

yeah I'm with Matt, I don't care for that one either. Like Matt stated, I prefer clean lines and a more understated look like all of the Lawless stuff so far. This has too much going on IMO and is not visually appealing to me

This is what I envision but of course its in my head but this is close and with the pockets slanted a tad more. ANyway its a thought & it might be something I would make for myself regardless. Im into chore coats but the updated versions . The older ones have pocket placement that isnt ergonomic for my need to put my hands in pockets Now we're getting somewhere...I think I can relate to what your envisioning. That pic helps. Once you guys put your heads together, and tweak it out some,I think it could become something that would appeal to more people

YEa its a Rising Sun jacket. Rising Sun is not for the masses. Of course I dont mean the stitching but the jacket it self with the pockets. EItherway its my thought not Lawless. I am home with my wife & kid so no worries guys im not charging ur credit cards & sending it lol

You should make your version of the Filson cruiser in Wool. Pointer Brand has one (think its $220+) but I'm unsure of the wool. Good standard jacket to offer for fall/winter.

1 chest pocket, and slash pockets for hand warming, that would sell me on it.

A lot is in trial stage. This is probably the best ability for Roman. He can mess with pieces & put them into production quicker than most. Right now the shop is burning hot with ideas that are in trial run & either tossed or being added to the bank.

Also look at how I liked that jacket with most on here hating it, Gustin would have made it anyway because they just make shit without really knowing what some would like. It would have been posted on IG & then made with a spiderweb of stitching to piss people off even more lol

Yea i thought so too. I think its the color that kills the imagination of it in denim with a few tweaks

In reference to the tan leather coat, I would probably buy that in a heavy tin cloth, tailored fit. Honestly it falls out of work wear styling a little bit, but I'd love it if it was tin cloth, lined, and the pockets weren't on the outside (slash access from the outside, but not seen on the outside).
I'd also love to see something like a canvas or heavy twill "deconstructed" blazer that's not -- in my opinion -- ruined by functionless stitching. That might be more within Taylor Stitch's realm, though.

Looks like a lot of the dead stock materials have been removed from the site - I'd like to think this is the case because they've used all of the material for our jeans a shirts!

Not a look that I would go for . . .

I am not talking about the cut but meant to say I want the one i posted tto have the pockets slanted like that one & in the shape of a acorn. Chore coats as a whole are terrible looking jackets in my opinion. They almost never look good on unless you make them into more of a blazer cut for me atleast

Yea, there's something about that picture that makes it look inverted. I would look OK if the shoulders looked bigger, then tapered down to the waist like it should, but this has a Christmas tree look to it.

I would look OK if the shoulders looked bigger, then tapered down to the waist like it should, but this has a Christmas tree look to it. Yeah, it's the unstructured shoulder that kills it. If you're built like a linebacker it could work, but anyone with a normal build is going to be made to look pear-shaped because of the cut and where the "shoulder" seams are.

I dont like those top entry pockets theyre awkward for putting your hands into. And bending over would likely dump out something stored inside them. Slash/side entry pockets needed.
