I posted that earlier. The 707's remind me of military cloth. I've never held cramerton but I bet it's similar.
707's have a sheen. After wear and washing the sheen wears away just like cramerton.
They are work pants type cloth not preppy northeast style.
Speaking of which I'm in LL Bean model today.

Hmm, not sure how I would feel about that. Paying a couple hundred dollars only for people to ask me if they're Dickies. I'd be like, "NO! THEY ARE IRON HEART!" and then kick them down a well. Ahhh....I would feel the same way but you're missing the point. When people have brought it up to me it always starts with..."those are nice, are those Dickies??!!" As in, they have a work pant type appearance but look much nicer than Dickies so people are confused. When they say that they are saying they look nice but they're kind of confused because they haven't seen Dickies look that nice. Funny that you mentioned this.... when I first saw the IH chino pictures, they reminded me of Dickies.... On the other hand, Japanese/Asian has its own version of Dickies and they are not your typical Walmart quality. They are $$$.

It's mainly friends and family, with the occasional random person here and there....the girl at the place I get my haircut, the girl ringing me up at Chipotle, etc... I've actually had a random guy comment on my pants once...lol. For some reason a random guy commenting on my shirt isn't as strange as one commenting on my pants to me.

It's not weird because you spend a lot of time talking about your pants with a bunch of dudes on the Internet.

Yeah, those are the Duckhead "Cramertons" I've mentioned a couple times. O'Bryan is their official name. Thanks for the link.

You guys with Canvas Chinos, How do they wear? Like a pair of Carhartt's or like casual Friday office pants?

I think they're too rugged looking for normal office wear, they have more of a carhartt vibe than twill which is a pretty standard business casual look. If you wear them well, though, it'll just make the other dudes jealous, but if you had a strict boss it would draw the wrong attention.

I'm thinking of grabbing a pair of those CF 15oz selfedge canvas but not sure if I'd like a 5 pocket or chino cut.

Jeez, I wear my brown ducks and desert ducks essentially as chinos and they look quite good at that. They don't read Carhartt at all to me.
EDIT: but it definitely depends on the color and the maker. Ciano slash fronts look more like Carhartt to me. That's why I had mine made with side-seam pockets.

Wearing the IH-707's today. Awesome chinos. Little sheen still haven't washed them but man they are rugged but still casual. Love the rear button pocket as well. I fully recommend everyone gets a pair.

And of course for a duck canvas pair I recommend the IH-816 I have both and can't recommend them enough. I like the 816 brown better than Ciano's 18oz duck for some reason too.

Gotta wash and tailor the buzz rickson original spec chinos. Can't wait to wear them. The beige is much different than the IH-707 which is perfect.
