I miss the grab bag. Better prices - mystery of what you'd get. That's how I scored my American Sixteeners, $80 in the grab bag.

they also posted the stock page on fb. imagine it'll empty out quite a bit over the weekend.
i'm torn on the stock page...no more grab bags is a bit of a bummer, especially with the price break. but there is still that instant gratification temptation that the stock page provides.

It's not that big of a deal but I love that when they tag their denim a certain size, it's not showing up as tagged. And now when you buy something, they visibly send you the wrong size. It may be incentive to run a bit more this fall as I can get 'er buttoned up, it's just not a pretty sight.

yeah...this QC (or lack there of) at G is getting out of hand. I don't get it. There seems to be a disconnect between the manufacturing facility and G...I wonder who actually physically puts the items in the bag to be sent? Is it G or is it the employees at the manufacturing facility? It may be a silly question but I would think it would be G...dunno.....but you would think whoever is doing it would verify that each customer is being sent the right size.

Missed out on getting anything from the stock inventory I guess. Guess I'm $200 in store credit from being completely done with Gustin. Absolutely awful. I get what they're doing, but as someone who received subpar items and returned them for store credit, I would have definitely liked to have first dibs on any overstock.

Did you not get the email from Cody before today's public promotion of the stock store? I received one yesterday and I believe Stephen posted the link in the community earlier in the week. I'm not particularly fond of the stock store replacing the grab bags - for one, the grab bags were cheaper (shirts are all over the board in price), and while I like the quick turn (truth be told, I bought a slate gingham), I liked the grab bag element. For $200 in stock credit, I'd consider those Antique Neps - I'm not sure how many bad campaigns or sizes you ran into - the odds are bound to be back in your favor on the next one (or two) - especially if Cody is aware.

Yeah I was aware of the stock store before, but I had no idea it was going public this soon. Guess I should've assumed. I guess my problem now is before you could return an item and at least get to choose from some stock... now you are 100% SOL and out 2 more months waiting time. I actually had a good back and forth email about committing to having "stock" on hand at all times, but I was thinking you know... having a couple basics (japan blue oxford, 16er) for sale.
I've sort of banned myself from buying anymore indigo jeans. Snoozed on both the blackxblack and black plaid in the stock store. Something will come around. I was one day short on backing the italy brownxblack chore coat... that would've been the ticket.

Maybe use your freebie from Roman and hook yourself up with some of his black denim or even the grey...you get options! But I guess that doesn't answer your question of what to do with $200 credit. Maybe back one of those over-priced duffels?

If you are still interested in them, I'll consider selling you my spot on them for how much I paid for them plus shipping. I'm always dependable for changing my mind on things, keeps the jokes coming too. Lemme know Jmyang486 @ Gmail.

Took a punt at the Jades. I've had my eye on those since they first came up on the site last year, so to see them come up for immediate delivery was too much to resist. I do hope they keep doing the grab bags, I enjoyed the suspense of seeing what landed on the door mat.

Glad you got some Craig... nice move Craig, the Jades are great. the really cool thing about them is that they are a unique shade that breaks up the Indigo monotony but they aren't super crazy wild and out there unique, It's a perfect shade for guys who want something different in their closet without getting too crazy (think Oxbloods, etc..) Also, the shade and true color really comes out after a hot soak. Mine ended up being just a touch too roomy after wearing them for a bit so I hot soaked those mothers and they shrunk up perfectly and the true color really came out. They look great with just a solid white or black top. I just rock them with a T shirt all the time. I wore them Friday night on a night out with my daughters and I noticed how soft and comfy they've become as well. They actually have kind of a vintage look to them because of the color IMO. Great pair that doesn't get as much credit as they deserve.

The stock store really got cleaned out yesterday/today. 33 slim (for example) had about 6-8 pairs to choose from and are now down to the BlackxCoals. Tempting but I think I'll see what happens in the future...or what is for sale in the Devastitis Wholesale Resale Store, lol.
+1 on the Jades - great looking pair. Ickesy summed it up nicely. Just different enough to stand out from the monotony of indigo.

I picked up a pair of the Rainbow Neps.
I feel like I'll regret the $120 hole in my pocket. I was drinking a lot of coffee that particular afternoon, combined with the motivational effect of sermon prepping, and boom: I bought a pair. Anybody own a pair of these?

My first pair of Gustins - ordered a size too small and sold them. Loved the texture of the nep, the small color pops in the weft are really unique. Always been a fan, just never backed them, as I ended up with about 9 pairs between the first and most recent campaigns.

Does the nep actually have a noticeable effect on the texture of the denim? And the color pops- noticeable?

If you cuff - yes, you'll see a lot of the color specs there. On the outside, you'll see the speckling of colors come through subtly. I like them. I'm a fan of nep fabric. I've been holding out for another G offering in nep (antiques look tempting but not for $140 IMO). I'm hoping that Roman will get something "nepped" in the future.

Dude, you were totally right. Got these in the mail this morning and I already love them. The nep almost creates this antique look and the white weft show through is perfect. The pop of the colors is perfect- prominent enough for you to appreciate them, but discrete enough to be worn like a standard pair of indigos.
