I like the idea of the stock store offering by G, but am I safe in assuming this is now replacing the Grab Bags? If so, and if they're looking to move the overrun - why are they charging $5 more for shirts? Are they upcharging for wait being removed? I've been excited for the shirts - and it's only $5, but given the inconsistencies of late (people vocalizing the issues with patterns mismatching and whatnot), I'd think the shirts would be more economical? it's a convenience fee to assure you that you're getting the right fit.

Here's a little background on the stock page.
I got a pair of Okas last week--they didn't fit. Waist 1.5 inches under spec. Sent them back. G received this Monday. On Tuesday, I got an email from CS (Justin I think--their intern/grad student worker), who said that not only were they not under spec, but .5 inches OVER spec.
I responded immediately, and said "fine," send them back to me at my expense.
Two days later I get an email that says sorry, they no longer have my jeans, they've been sent to the fulfillment center to post on the stock page. I said call the FC and get my jeans. No can do. Cody stepped in to smooth it out and all is good now, but he assured me he has no way of getting his hands on them once the go to the FC. So, having said all of that, they are outsourcing the fulfillment, so the $5 upcharge may be the FC handling fee.
Cody does a great job, I just feel bad for him because his options are limited, and he has to say 'no' a lot, i.e., 'no, we can't swap those out for you--you'll have to pick something else.'

I had assumed they were just rolling the standard $5 shipping charge into the sticker price on the Stock page. Has anyone here bought something from Stock? Do you still get charged for shipping on top of the marked up sticker price?

They still charge $5 to ship. Shirts (originally $76), now $81. Plus the $5 to ship. I get that it's $5, but it must be the outsource fee. They outsource a lot. I assumed the "stock" was what they offered in the storefront (during those random hours they are open each week).

I've ordered two things from the stock store and in both cases, the items were the same price as in the original campaign and then $5 shipping was added. Not a bad way to grab a shirt or pair of pants quick since they ship them Priority.

Shirts are up-priced, the denim seems to be consistent. I agree with the idea behind the stock store, but I was wondering if there was logic behind the increase. Good feedback.

I don't know who's doing the measuring but I've had discrepancies like that before too.

i ordered a shirt from the stock site and there was no additional upcharge (shipping was charged as usual). some denims and some shirts have a $5 upcharge, and others do not. perhaps the items without an additional charge are returns and the items with an additional charge are overrun items...or vice versa considering returns may have additional work with steaming/folding/etc before shipping. i don't know, but it's currently varied.
that said, i am a bit bummed that there won't likely be any future grab bags. would have been interesting to see jacket grab bags, shirt grab bags, work shirt grab bags...etc.

yeah, but you're filtering only on what's available in medium. if you look at everything that's available there are 5 shirts available at $76 (plus shipping)

Matt can you put a link to the Stock store? There might be people who don't know where it is. You can edit your first post and put in there.

My Okayamas did not surface in the stock store today. I'm monitoring a website so that I can buy my own jeans. My guess is that they were gone to someone else as soon as they came in.

I'm pretty sure the grey silk 2 sz32s are mine... The stitching was not right on them. Kind of makes me not want to order from the stock store.

How does that makes sense? i don't know why they're charging more for certain stock items over others. i doubt it's size related. my point was simply that it's varied and not all items have the $5 up charge...pointing out that overall there were more than you were seeing at original price.

I just got a stock store secret invite from Cody. I am tempted to write back and ask why the prices are adjusted...who am I kidding, I think I'll buy a shirt. I like the fit.

Hey- If you're reading this email, you're one of our top customers (and we're so appreciative of that). Tomorrow, we'll be sending out an email to all of our customers offering them access to our stock store for a limited time. It has a wide variety of styles (sixty eight, in fact) that we've run in the past in very limited sizes. Everything available there will ship out very quickly - usually the next business day. Because the quantities are so limited, we wanted to give each one of you a heads up to grab anything you would be interested in. The address for our stock store is www.weargustin.com/stock - please don't share it with anyone yet. Thanks for your loyalty, and let me know if there's ever anything I can do to help you, Cody Thompson Community Manager, Gustin
