I didn't really know who Bobby Keys was till today. Played Sax with the Stones for years live and on record and also played on many other albums. Familiar with his parts on many of the songs. He had a great discography. R.I.P.

Talking of cover versions, this is pretty amazing: Not sure why everyone covers Katy Perry songs. One version of her songs in the world is more than enough for me. Sorry she just rubs me wrong. This band does sound good, just not my style of music.

R.I.P. Ian McLagan!!!
This is when the keyboardist was a major part of the band, I sure miss those days!! He was scheduled to play here in Minneapolis last night opening for Nick Lowe. Besides Small Faces, Ian played on many albums with other artists including the Stones. A bad week for Stones players. Here is some of Ian's keys on Miss you. R.I.P.

I am all about this All About That Bass cover by Kate Davis with Postmodern Jukebox. She has a nice voice. Unique that she plays upright and sings lead vocals.

Well it ain't looking so good for me, 2 of the musicians on my theme song have died in the past few days (Bobby Keys, Sax and Ian McLagan, Keyboards). Hopefully, I will survive until I get to wear my Gustin Zimbabwe 18's for a few times.

I miss Richard Wright:
These 3 guys could really pack the "emotion" into their music without a word being said!

I miss Richard Wright:
These 3 guys could really pack the "emotion" into their music without a word being said! I have been meaning to pick up the new Pink Floyd album, The Endless River. This song has some Welcome To The Machine type sounds going on. Very nice.
