sent a message last week to ask for a realistic status on the brown duck and army green duck chinos. ren responded today saying that: "According to our production manager the Brown Ducks will start ship out in the next week and the Army Green Ducks will not ship out until the beginning of February." i'm not sure if 'in the next week' means this week...or next week. he basically said the same thing as before, that the holidays snuck up on them and the sew shop and now they're trying to catch up. This has been the answer on chinos for the last four weeks. I find I'm better off if I don't think about them at all, and then it'll be nice when I get the shipping notice. I know some people seem to have had good experiences with chinos hitting delivery dates, but my first pair was something like four months, and they're great pants, so I'm assuming these ones should be worth the wait, too. If not I'll cry and whine here until Old26 throat punches me.

Did anybody get shipping notices on their Pima Fires? My orders page says the straights were supposed to ship last week, but I haven't recd anything to say that mine did.

Ha, my cone blacks didn't ship last week and now the status update is gone. I'm getting worried that they're been QC'd or something.

Or maybe they are in the process of updating the status?

Or maybe they are in the process of updating the status? This has been the case for me every time I noticed the edit shipping button went missing. It would go from edit shipping to blank to shipped date and I would receive a shipping email. Process could take a day or so.

They opened up stock for everyone, or at least I have access to it today.

I noticed this on my Pima fires too. The update status disappeared a earlier this week and the Edit Shipping button is still available. I'm guessing that they aren't shipping the second week of January like the last status said.

Yeah bummed about the fires. I don't know how the run progressed so fast; the day after it closed you could no longer edit size, and then it seems like a week later it said they were already in cutting. To then email and post on the page that they're shipping last week and completely blow by the date without saying anything irks me.
I'm just being oversensitive because this was the first run where I really wanted to change size after funding, and this was the only run I've seen lock down sizing pretty much immediately. The idea that that "speed" blocked what I wanted to do and yet didn't get me my jeans any faster is undermining the mental compromise I had made to not resent this particular purchase.

Interesting thing about the latest run fires is they look nothing like the first run fires.

Did you receive yours? I was comparing the pics from Stevekas's persimmon thread to the fit pics from the campaign and they seemed the same, but perhaps I missed something?

Several people on G Comm have reported receiving denim that looks nothing like the Pima Fires; no signature streaky appearance and texture, wrong selvedge ID. A couple guys posted pics, and to my eyes the fabric looks a lot like the Blue Lines but it's hard to tell for sure.

Just checked, and the last one had a shipping projection of last August. You think the factory had some leftovers and attached the Pima Fire label to them, and shipped it out? Could make sense, as the factories Gustin has been using has been seemingly shortcutting lately.

Could make sense, as the factories Gustin has been using has been seemingly shortcutting lately. I honestly don't know, but if I had to speculate I'd think it was more likely that there was an error in the fabric order with Cone. That could be Gustin screwing up the order or Cone screwing up the supply. Or none of the above. Who knows? For all the flack we've been giving the sew shop(s)--the vast majority of which has been fully justified--the QC on the ten or so jeans I've taken in since last August has been pretty close to impeccable with the exception of the short inseam on the Loomies and being sent the incorrect size of GreyXBlack (the jeans themselves sewed up perfectly, they just weren't what I ordered). And for the batches produced since G's announcement that they were tightening up their QC, I have not heard of many (any?) QC fails on jeans of the sort we all suffered in the Dark Times earlier last year. In short, either the jeans sewers got their shit together, or Gustin quietly shifted production to a different vendor. I would be fairly surprised if whatever shop has been putting out pretty consistently well-made and spec-accurate jeans for the past several months suddenly managed to do something as dodgy as pulling some other denim off the rack to make up for a shortfall in the Pima Fire orders. Nothing's impossible, of course, but I would be surprised if that was the explanation.

People are getting the wrong jeans instead of the Pima fire? That's not good for anyone. Remember the broken weave disaster.

Anybody else waiting for the brown heavyweight belt to ship from a campaign back in Nov or Dec? I'm getting real anxious to get this in. I've never backed any of the leather products so I don't really know if these suffer from the same delays as jeans, chinos, workshirts, etc.

Very very very happy I did. Amazing belt. Also I paid $52 shipped back before the price increase.

Just saw an update for the order status of Italy IxI, Japan One Seven, Super Heavy Slub and Brown Organic Hemps. All are supposed to ship out first week of Feb. I'm quite surprised (pleasantly) for Brown hemps; the completion was expected Jan/Feb and I was expecting this to be late Feb. After these I would have nothing in the G pipeline and I am good for a while, I think.

I also got that on my Super Heavy Slubs. Glad to see they're only a little bit late. Thought they'd be several weeks late like my Heavy Americans. I also got this on Italy Pink IDs (supposed to ship in February) 1/29: Jeans close to completion. We will begin shipping in the order they were backed starting on 2/6. Trying to get them out a bit earlier.
Looks like they've caught up from the Christmas snag!
