I guess it's the Canadian side that makes me apologize. Sorry about that. I thought being Canadian means you get in a lot of bar fights? Exaggerated, but that was something I always remember when playing the Canadian bars in bands. We appreciate you being a gentleman. Man, bar fights are de facto standard most nights over here on the far east coast.

So I received two items from Gustin yesterday that represent the good and the frustrating of my relationship with the company - my raw umber and the rustic green twill. First the good, the raw umber came out very nicely. I went with 31 slims instead of my usual 30 straights and I think I found a better fit for me. 1/2 inch over spec in the waist, knee and hem. Thigh and rise spot on. Really, perfect fit for me, well sewn and I like the color. Also, my first italian denim, so that's a plus as well.
Now the shirt... I won't get into all of the details because I don't want this to be a rant. But this is a plaid, and there's nothing sewn straight on this shirt. The stitching and alignment of the plaid are all off. This is where I feel insulted as a customer, with Gustin telling me that they are sticklers for quality and that this is equivalent to a 200-300 dollar shirt. It's nothing's of the sort, and it frustrates me to no end that Gustin would even ship such a thing to me. I'd rather they just told me, "sorry, the shirt didn't pass QC, here's a refund". It's a shame because I love the fabric, and the slim medium size fits me perfectly. Anyway, I e-mailed Cody and Ren so hopefully this will be in the mail back to Gusin this week.

received my raw umbers yesterday and checked the measurements and they are bang on to specs. A few of the measurements were damn near exactly to specs. The length, rise and knee were pushing the spec tolerance at about a half inch over specs but no biggie and they are technically still within tolerances. Great job GUSTIN on the construction of this pair. All the stitching is about as laser straight as a human can be and the back yoke is ligned up perfectly These are damn well made pair of jeans, the construction is top notch imo. This has restored a bit of my faith in G and really has me looking forward to my Japan Union Blues. I went 33 slim on these also and I'm still thinking I could have gone 34 slim due to the legs and rise being a bit snugger and lower than what is ideal for me, but overall I'm happy with these. Cool color and cool pair of jeans. From 32 slim to 34 slim? You gettin diesel from that workout, ain't you brah.

My beasts, which used to fit comfortably, are now snug throughout the waist and thighs. That workout lives up to the hype. Just wish I had discovered it earlier in life, and before buying my current wardrobe

The downside is Im outgrowing a lot of clothes

None of my L GUSTIN shirts fit anymore either. It's a bummer because the Black Brown flannel looks great with the Raw Umbers.

My wife actually likes how the clothes fit a bit tighter on me now

Not gonna want my lower body to get any bigger than it already is. Note to self: Stay away from MattIckes' workout.

I don't want to get bigger because this is not the look that I am going for. I will still try for the new workout plan but will pay close attention to my size.

I will still try for the new workout plan but will pay close attention to my size. If you don't want to get bigger, check your diet. You won't get bigger unless you eat more. With that said, workouts like MattIckes presented has greater energy needs than say a basic 3x5 workout, so you will probably eat more on that kind of workout because you have to. If you don't want to get bigger, then stick to a basic 3 day a week workout, where you alternate workout A and workout B. Starting Strength isn't a bad one, or a 3x5 version of Stronglifts. On off days, eat at a deficit or at maintenance level, and on on days, consume more calories. You can't get bigger without eating at a major surplus.

My hope is to gain lean muscle, bodyfat from 16% to 12% and keep my weight at 160.

My rustic green twill is also going back this week. The chest is two inches smaller around than it was supposed to be. The stitching is mostly straight though. Mostly.

You stated you are a hardgainer and you want to gain lean muscle mass, well that's exactly what this routine is going to do. I'm at a loss at how you expect and want to gain lean muscle mass but you dont want to get bigger...I'm not sure how that's going to work. We can move this over to our workout thread to continue the discussion if you'd like.

I just noticed that the orders page has been updated. It doesn't show the expected delivery timeframe anymore for any of the backed items.

Not sure what happened to G's original schedules for shipping...or even the disappearance of the more recent timeframes. Several members have posted re. ongoing delays & some were a little cranky, others philosophical. Dunno. I backed SakeBomber workshirt (still no shipping notice for this) earlier than the Zim18's - my main interest - so I'm stoked they're finally en route.

Got my NATO watch strap today. Took a chance on this as my el cheapo replacement band on a Timex Indiglo (yeah, yeah, it's not fancy but it works) had minimal life expectancy left. The strap is a little long for my puny wrists, but I give it a thumb's up.

I trimmed mine by tracing a nickel with a sharp xacto to get a nice shape.

Folding it over works (sorta, time will tell) and involves fewer band-aids, heh.
