receiced shipping notification on my raw umbers also..fingers crossed Mine are supposed to arrive at the office today. I wanted to take the afternoon off, but now I'm tempted to just keep on working and see if they show up. Talk about serious #firstworldproblems, eh?

just got shipping notifs for raw umbers and american 16ers. I just got notification about the Raw Umbers as well. These better fit because they're the most I've been excited about since I started this Gustin addiction. Missed out on them in March, when I first learned about Gustin, and they haven't appeared again until this offering. i sized down on them as i've been losing weight and i have a feeling they're going to need some stretch time for me. here's hoping they're your glass slipper.

Actually, it was the other way around. They were supposed to have been the veg patch. Some of us (myself included) got brown - which I actually prefer. But my pair came without bar tacks. Ah I see. Guess I can't get mad either way. They took long enough, 3+ months, and I'm expecting the world on these denim. I won't be happy if my Zimbs don't have the right patch. I remember when the campaign went up I emailed and received a response from Stephen saying they would have the veg tan patch. After what happened during the first campaign, it is almost unbelievable it would happen again. It might seem minor but I was on the fence about ordering a pair and that was the straw that tipped me in favour of making the purchase.

I was sure it did as well and if so, the campaign on the website has been subsequently edited to eliminate that. I specifically checked because I wanted to know if the patch was a keeper (i've removed the thin crappy brown patches from all of my other pairs), and I remember thinking "it will be my only pair with a patch besides my loomies." I frankly don't care either way--I just don't like misinfomation and revisionist history if that is indeed what happened. I may remove it and sew a blank veg tan patch on myself.

Why don't you post up the text of that email exchange here so that anyone else that feels the way you do can use it in their favor. ***WE WILL NOT ALLOW POSTING OF PERSONAL EMAILS UNLESS BOTH PARTIES AGREE TO IT. jamesr, please do not post the details of a private email exchange in this forum. It's one thing to share via PM, but IMO, sharing publicly would be in poor taste.

Zimbs received. Wearing. Love them. Seem to be bang-on with spec. If all of my bitching (and the bitching of others) has helped improve QC (although there was only a very tiny, minute, miniscule, microscopic QC issue anyhow), then I'm good with it. These may have restored my faith in the G unit to crank out quality garments. They also came with a tiny gift. BTW, they have a grey cast.

Nice. Saw some zimbs in the stock store, was about to pounce but nothing in my size.

Apologies if I should not have mentioned the email from Gustin. I just wanted to explain why I am expecting the natural patch since I don't think it was called out in the campaign.

Apologized for what? I think it is great that you called it out since some of the members here might have forgotten some of the details.

I don't think it's a problem to mention that you confirmed via email that you would be getting a veg tanned patch. I'm interested to see if you actually get one and if G gives you an explanation if you don't. I think the issue is with posting a private correspondence between yourself and Gustin in a public place, which I don't think you were going to do, anyway.

No problem mentioning the email or that you took the step to confirm the patch. It just wouldn't have been cool to post up the entirety of the private correspondence.

I am still trying to stay up with the evolving and uneven application of rules of conduct on this forum.
However, I fail to understand where a retailer/vendor would have any expectation that their answer to a question (via email) regarding the makeup of a product that vendor has for sale would be subject to a "privacy" right.
Maybe someone can direct me to an authoritative source that can set me straight?

All I got was 1-cm chunk of normal belt loop in the Antique Nep Blues. You must really rate highly with the Powers That Ge. P.S. - Was it in your front right pocket? P.P.S. - If you were trying to troll me with that "Zims have a grey cast" nonsense, it worked.

Sorry about that.

Just got the mossxnavy flannel yesterday. It's my first shirt from them and I'm loving it. Heavy americans are due to ship this week, hoping the heavyweight belt is shipped this week as well.

Sorry about that. I thought being Canadian means you get in a lot of bar fights? Exaggerated, but that was something I always remember when playing the Canadian bars in bands. We appreciate you being a gentleman.

"I am still trying to stay up with the evolving and uneven application of rules of conduct on this forum." So far we do not have an official set of rules, but is something we are working on. We want to keep in minimal and overall just about common sense. We try to be fair and hope the members help keep things in line when they see something questionable. The Mods step in when needed. "However, I fail to understand where a retailer/vendor would have any expectation that their answer to a question (via email) regarding the makeup of a product that vendor has for sale would be subject to a "privacy" right." Once again using common sense would apply here as in general personal email between two people would be something best kept private. Then again if the subject matter is not personal in nature and would cause neither party involved any issues then it seems like it would be safe to post. The best way to find out would be to ask the other party before posting. In this case the information is valuable to others and doesn't seem to cause any revealing of something that should be kept private. "Maybe someone can direct me to an authoritative source that can set me straight?" Feel free to PM any of the mods here if you have a question about rules or what is appropriate. We will try to help in any way we can. We will post up some rules eventually. Thanks Winterland

received my raw umbers yesterday and checked the measurements and they are bang on to specs. A few of the measurements were damn near exactly to specs. The length, rise and knee were pushing the spec tolerance at about a half inch over specs but no biggie and they are technically still within tolerances. Great job GUSTIN on the construction of this pair. All the stitching is about as laser straight as a human can be and the back yoke is ligned up perfectly These are damn well made pair of jeans, the construction is top notch imo. This has restored a bit of my faith in G and really has me looking forward to my Japan Union Blues. I went 33 slim on these also and I'm still thinking I could have gone 34 slim due to the legs and rise being a bit snugger and lower than what is ideal for me, but overall I'm happy with these. Cool color and cool pair of jeans.

ickes, glad to hear the raw umbers worked for you. I'm so tempted by the Union Blues but the weight keeps pushing me away. Love the colour and keep thinking this could be a great pair to try out at 34 Slim.
