. Is that tax called the FUIHUK provision? God I hope so. Man, you know IHUK will never see any of your comments right? I mean, not because they aren't trying. But because they can't see them through their $400 plastic sunglasses. It's sort of like Gustin's wavy shirts. I don't really want it fixed, I just like complaining about it. If it went away, I'd have to find a new thing to kvetch about.

julian you guys should have an indigo party and start revolting throwing denim into whatever body of water is close...and you should dress up like West Virginian miners while doing it. If I thought it'd make any difference... Actually, I'm sure that whinging about our myriad taxes is soon to overtake 'the weather' as the number one topic of general discussion in the UK. Which means people would be distraught if anything were to ever be done about it.

So are they dropping the boots soon or while Im sleeping and i wake up and the only thing left is the mustard ones? Then i have to resole, add a rubber sole and also rebuild the entire upper boot with a non-mustard color. Adding VAT and the charges for the custom handling they might be as expensive as a real Alden boot and i can just stamp them my grailboot and be done with it once and for all? No good?

In the email this weekend they announced that they're dropping them tomorrow (Wednesday), I assume the same 9am PST. The price of $199 is set, as far as I know, so you should be able to estimate off of that.

I'm actually contemplating trying these if they land at $199. I can get rubber on the soles later. I feel like a gamble tonight...

I'd be surprised at a different price point, Josh Gustin said $199 on their affiliate thread over at styleforum. There's been enough of a request for rubber on the sole I'd hope they are at least looking into it for future runs.

For what they are supposed to be: made in USA, CXL uppers, lower/dressier(?) profile; I feel like they are probably going to be a pretty good value at $199. There's the waiting game and who knows how that will work out; but seriously, does anyone know of a MIUSA boot with CXL uppers at this price point without a crazy sale?

They went pretty bold with the inferno tan, huh! By all means they look like a good purchase, but a tad too dressy for me.

November/December delivery (quoted) isn't too bad. The sneaks are a longer leadtime right now.

I'm probably going to get natural boot since I've been looking for one and I think this can't be beat. Plus I resisted the chino indigo canvas so I should reward my willpower with boots.

To me strikes me as one of those things that may work in theory but a bit harder to pull off in practice.

They went pretty bold with the inferno tan, huh! Reminds me too much of yellow Dr Martens I used to see people (mainly girls) wearing all the time in the late 80s and early 90s. It's annoying that VAT, customs and duties would kill the decent price point if I ordered from the UK, because at the purchase price equivalant of £125 I'd definitely give one of the brown pairs a try. That's almost a third the price of a pair of 1ks over here!

No wide sizes. Seen lots of people asking for them, and I really hope they consider expanding, especially with a crowd-funded model. I'll just see myself out.

I think that the Tan just looks bad in the Gustin pics. I've got RRL boots in that color, and they're hard to photograph. I'd wager that they look great and Gustin needs to fix their effin potato cam pics just for this reason!

Somebody smarter than me want to recommend a size based on their copy? I'm an 11 in most sneakers, Vans, etc and a 10.5 in Red Wings. My Wolvie 1K are a 10 and fit great.
The Natural ones would make an excellent Christmas present. To me. From me.

I was thinking I'd go there and see them max at 12 or some crap.

Gustin are going out of their way to claim their boots are true to Brannock size. That would put my mind at rest regarding sizing, because if I ordered a pair and they didn't fit I'd send them straight back for a refund stating that they're clearly not as marketed/sold. Anyway, if they are genuinely true to Brannock, I'd suggest you order the Gustin boots in a size 11. I own 4 pairs of 1ks and all are one size down from my Brannock measurement and all fit perfectly. 1ks are well known to run large. Width wise, Brannock measure me as just under an E.
