Looks like a modernised, sleeker version of the Wolverine 1000 Mile boot.
Not sure about their tan colour, looks a little too vivid/bright, but the Natural and dark brown look good.
Will be interesting to see a price on these, although the customs and import duties will make them unviable here in the UK.

I like these better than the sneakers. I mean the sneakers are okay, but I don't need any at present. I wonder what the price is going to be?

Id say these are very close in looks to the Alden plain toe Indy. Very nice looking in the Natural & brown. Would have liked for them to get a full vibram sole but im sure to keep the cost down they went with just the heel

It's probably dark brown when you get them, since G doesn't know how to photograph anything in actual correct lighting. They look a little like the Thursday Boot.

I like them. Of course cost will determine if they stand a chance against other established options. Also, from the angle the leather seems to be thin. Maybe it's just me...

Can't see any reason why I'd choose these over Iron Rangers or the like, even if they were $100 less. And then you've got the wait time...

wow...I'm in the minority...those are ugly. i'm not a fan of the profile....they seem almost clownish. I think I prefer the Indy boot above all else when it comes to style. i'm curious who they subcontracted these out to. My guess would be OSB or Allen Edmonds. AE would make sense since they have the manufacturing capabilities and produce most of their shoes in the US.

The Essex (natural) look great, but given that the sneaker in this material would be 349, I don't think they'll undercut the price, and once they hit $400 I'm going with Oak Street Bootmakers or one of the many other brands that I can try on at that pricepoint. Once they break $500 it'd be tough to go with these over custom White's or Alden on sale. It'll be interesting to see how they price. If they're the same cost as the sneakers, then I'm interested, even though I don't care for the dark brown loops and hooks, nor the stitching that goes across the side of the boot for the hell of it. Even then, they're priced at a Red Wing Heritage or Wolverine 1000 mile level which makes for a hard sell since they won't be able to say which USA factory is making them unless they don't undercut on price (as if they would, anyway).
I think they comparison they're going to try to make is up to a Viberg or Alden level, to justify the boots ringing in at $400+.

Price is gonna be a huge factor. I like the look but I like a captoe or the alden Indy better.

I don't know what the tan color is, but the natural is Horween Essex and the brown also looks like Chromexcel pullup. I would imagine the tan is whatever they make their english tan billfold out of. Horween is not the thickest leather but really comfortable without a lengthy break-in period. The lining will help to make it more substantial. My main draw is the low profile toe, which neither Red Wing or Wolverine seem to be particularly fond of.

Not a style I like But I can see others liking it. Just to plain and not a big enough Last to make it a working boot (style wise). I'd think if they can bring these to the Crowd for $300 or less, I could see the value. But if not, why would someone wait for and buy an unproved boot.?

That moment when you realize you made the Horween-add charge $200 instead of the $100 it actually is. So yeah, I'm with brentkuz on where the price will land, directly in-between Red Wing Heritage and Wolverine 1000 mile. Horween sneakers are 249, boots will probably be $300-400.

You have to figure they will be more money then the sneakers, so at least $300. Then a 5 month wait. I'm out.

Whatever the middle boot is on their IG, I'm very intrigued. It looks different enough in color to the boots I own.

Looks ok and might look kinda cool after wear...BUT - the heel looks wonky/ugly as hell. (hella-ugly).
I mean its like the leather stops before the heel and there is like a gap (a void) and ....why is that gap there? Im not liking it.
Void-gap-nopiness!

There's no way these aren't going to be less than $100 over the sneaker cost. At that point, just save your money and buy a trusted boot from a trusted bootmaker. I'm not saying anything anyone else hasn't already, but still...Gustin seems to be expanding beyond the bounds of what their model is.

i'd be all over Gustin boots if they did a collab with a well-known maker, like Alden. Plus, it would behoove Gustin to reveal who's making their stuff rather than posting vague statements like 'made in the USA.' If they marketed their stuff like "Gustin x Alden" they could easily justify the mark-up, the same way Leffot, epaulet and a buttload of other companies do with their collabs.

Made in the USA is good. Makes the Eye Talian shoes just that much weirder.
